I was there, everybody was surprised to survive. Even the ones that where close to the sun. Planet Turnur 1 is in flames, looks rather nice. All live has been wiped out, that's sad. Kind regards Marith of Kazarith Ign

I guess CCP didn't wanted to piss off the players hanging around the sun by destroying their ships that they knew they could loss with the star's explosion (if only because of "undocking", "low-sec", ect.), but it would have been more realistic if everyone were dead and moved to their home station in a new clone when the flash occured. Those around the station in Turnur I may have survived, but it would have been also hard to believe as the phenomena was strong enough to turn an entire planet from barren to lava (not just the half side facing the star). I'm also surprised that the scientists got the outcome right and the timing right about something they had never seen/exerience before (they had no data to come up with a math formula, yet got it right). And all that, predicting an outcome similar to a non similar event (the Seyllin incident) while using a Triglavian technology that previously led to "liminality".
So what does that mean/change? The Star isnt really different is it

Yeah, it looks similar to before the flash... What is changed is the Turnur I planet is now lava planet, and there is some new effect going in the system (lower scan resolution, sensor sthrength, target range, and faster warp speed (in the patch notes))

2:36 There were a lot of fight going on before and after the explosion. If you were cloaked when recording, you probably got uncloaked after you took damage and someone took the opportunity to kill you.
What's the story behind this? Is this story driven from ccp or was it something else?
