The worst people are the ones who project their own problems on those they hate.

At this point, I just automatically assume anyone who uses "groomer" to stigmatize the LGBT community is a groomer.

So my family and I went out too a restaurant. I told them I've been LGBTQ+ for a year now. I asked them if they could call me by the name and pronouns. My dad said, No, in our home your name is my deadname. End of discussion. I feel unsupported by him. I look for comfort.

Grooming is the reason why i went from omni/demi to aroace and this is permanent due to PTSD reasons. (BTW I was pressured into doing certain stuff that i did not want to do with my ex’s. Yes i was and also quitted being polyamorous. Also this happened when i was 14 and i am currently 15.) And the guy that said the LGBTQ Community was just a community full of groomers. That guy is so fucking hypocritical AF! Cus he possibly groomed more then a few student’s at the high school party’s. SMH RN. (Shaking My Head Right Now.)

I'm really sorry that you went through all of it. The truth is that me as LGBTQ realize that this guy should never make accusations or stigmatized towards who we are, we're just ordinary people in what we call society. Whoever said things like to us lied bout everything cuz either they didn't understand or were completely misinformed,when my mother said bout the monkeypox,I told her what she said is very offensive and strongly stigmatized and she learned that people can't always assume bout anything.

Can't find any decent write in candidates? I feel that, that's one of the reasons why I live somewhere else now. That state doesn't deserve all the good people living in it if they refuse to represent any of them.

What's the word when you're surprised, yet unsurprised at the same time? Because I am feeling that way

Okay so I know this is completely off topic. But I have felt so bad since I came out to my parents, I had a good friendship with them until I told them I was a lesbian, and now I feel like I've ruined everything. I cry myself to sleep almost every night, and I'm starting to wish I wasn't gay. When I first realised I was gay I wanted to wear rainbows and be proud, but now after all the things my parents have said about being gay, I'm just so ashamed of being gay. My parents believe the lgbtq community is a dark cult, overtaking the world. So they are trying to be nice and help me, when they tell me all this horrible stuff about being gay. But it makes me feel so bad and ashamed. They tell me they'll always love me, but idk if I believe them anymore, I can't even mention the word gay around them, without them going off on a massive rant. I used to be so close to my parents, but now I feel like I've failed them and ruined our relationship, I feel so terrible. They tell me that I shouldn't put my believes on to them, and that they would never have done such a thing to their families, which makes me feel terrible. I'm so ashamed but I started cutting my arms, and I don't know what to do when my parents find out. Idk everything they say is with good intention, but it just makes me feel like I shouldn't exist. Please help me

You didn't ruin your relationship with your parents, I think they are the ones who started jeopardizing things when they started to believe our community was a cult and go off on rants. I don't really have good advice on how to handle their homophobia; but just know that you are an amazing person and you have powered by rainbows, the community here, and my support. You are not alone

Try to find supportive ppl other than your parents. It also helps to research other societies & cultures around the world who honored & revered their LGBTQI people. Anotherwords, advanced cultures. ( Many American Indian tribes did prior to the devastating effects of European christian colonization. The Navajos had/have a positive traditional Two Spirit tradition, & the Crows as well.) * Studying our history will give you Pride. We are special & often incredibly gifted people. In tribal cultures we are often war leaders, shamans, herbalists, councilors to the heteros, care givers & adopters of orphaned children & much more. Research Lozen of the Warm Springs Apaches, she was incredible. Charley Parkhurst & Albert D.J. Cashier too. You have a lot to be proud of being you, LGBTQI! Don't let even your unenlightened parents tell you otherwise. 🩷🫂🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️👍
