Turnpike Troubadours - Bossier City (Full Album) (2007)
Музыка
Just a month after the band was formed, the Turnpike Troubadours recorded their first album. Bossier City was released on December 11, 2007.

3 - ( 7:17 ) Solid Ground
4 - ( 11:41 ) Easton & Main

7 - ( 24:32 ) Angola
8 - ( 27:18 ) Rollin On
9 - ( 31:04 ) Three Rivers Song

RC Edwards - Bass
Evan Felker - Vocals, Acoustic Guitar, Resonator
John Fullbright - Vocals, Mandolin, Slide Guitar, Keys, Accordian, Resonator, Harmonica
Chad Masters - Drums
Casey Sliger - Vocals, Electric Guitar, Acoustic Guitars
Explaining why the album is no longer in production, frontman Evan Felker told the Tulsa World in 2015, “In the first month that we were a band, we went in and decided we needed something to sell at the shows. It did us a great service, but it’s not a good representation of who we are now,” Felker said. “There’s not even a fiddle on ‘Bossier City.’ It’s just not us.”

A re-release of this album with the lineup they have now would be unreal. The steel and the fiddle would be golden

😎 BORN & RAISED IN THE *SHREVEPORT/BOSSIER CITY* AREA FOR THE MAJORITY OF MY *60* YEARS,I WOULDN'T LIVE ANYWHERE ELSE,ON PLANET EARTH!!! 👍 IT's *03-15-2021* ,As I Post This Comment,....and,I Just Learn of *THIS* Album & Song,Today!!! 👍 THANX, *TURNPIKE TROUBADOURS!!!* 😜
Wish they would of re released Come November like they did Bossier City and Easton & Main
Hey, back on the channel again! Yet another band I grew up with, expect this band means something else to me. My half brothers' uncle is actually the fiddle player, Kyle! If I'm not mistaken I probably met him when I was young. I have a weird association with this song, the Xbox 360 had a feature where you could rip CDs and play them locally and even during gameplay so I'd listen to Bossier City a lot when playing the Just Cause 2. The reason I had the song on my Xbox 360 was that one of my half brothers' gave us their external hard drive from their console and so we had the music from it. Sadly, I think on accident we deleted all the music off of their, a real shame honestly. I can only imagine what other music was on there. Finding this upload of yours, I'm pretty sure that I had this recording of it.
If come November isn’t on the new album I’ll be furious my favorite turnpike somg

I think it more has to do with the band not being completely satisfied with the release. It was a pretty rushed session from what they explain….. all that being said I love the album. Play it all the time too 😂
How the heck have I never heard these???
They are a very good band and surely underrated. I had the pleasure to see them in the early years Blessings to you all*****
I pray some of these songs make it on a new record
Thank you for sharing, I remember this album vaguely (I was in 7th grade when this came out). The album is rough and raw, it makes me smile to see how far they've came and grown as a band. I hope after their hiatus they come back strong.

They did. ❤❤
I feel like, in the year that this has been posted, I’ve accounted for at least 10% of the views. Can’t get enough of this album
Other than Diamonds and Gasoline, this is their best album.
First, thank you! FINALLY! I was at NSU (Tahlequah,OK) when they were still looking for the right drummer. They ask our band to open for them twice. SO, thank you again! For posting this album full of memories. Sincerely, Good People
Grows on me more and more with each listen. Love Diamonds and Gasoline too.
Back here for no particular reason in 2021
This is the only CD I keep in my car and I listen to it all the time!! I honesty think thease songs of better than some of their newer stuff( especially Easton and main) this is the only album I love ever song on

Awesome thanks!!! Love this album!!
Great band, big fan. First time I've listened to this entire album. Solid ground has a real Steve Earle in the 80's feel, dig it.

Thanx for posting this!! Luv these guys. Been looking for this for awhile. ✌🏽🧡😊
Thanks fo for this! Interesting to hear the earlier versions of tracks that ended being re-recorded on the self-titled album.
Best Turnpike album there is. Thank you for sharing, doesn’t get any better than the raw troubadours. #LLTT
Thanks for this
Thank you so much
I don't know how you did it. But fucking kudos brotha for the whole album!
Most excellent!
Finding this on has made my year! I have been hunting for this for quite a while as it is my favorite album of theirs. And in the last few months I have managed to to have the cd stolen and the lil MP3 player I had it copied on finally broke down. After looking everywhere online for a copy to be let down, I am very appreciative that I have been able to find it here. Thank you!

Justin Roberts No association to the band. Just a “Hard-Core Troubadour” (to quote Steve Earle) fan hoping they can make a recovery and that their hiatus is only temporary. I wanted to share the whole album considering the majority of Turnpike fans don’t even know it exists...

I can't believe that no one has mentioned it! This youtube video has they key modified, probably to avoid copyright. It is almost unlistenable. It is much deeper than the normal Turnpike Troubadours.

This audio was imported directly from the Bossier City album CD using iTunes (256kbps AAC) and has not been modified in any way, shape or form. You can compare it to snippets of the songs from the current copyright owner here (waterloorecords.com/UPC/634479696343) and find that it is identical. Bossier City was recorded in the band’s infancy and sounds drastically different from their later albums. Please educate yourself before making false accusations.
Luke Dunkin got me here!
Does anyone know if Mike McClure produced this album?
Arkansas....not New York
