    It might be their doom in fact. I don't think they carry enough energy to do a second dimensional shift, they probably are dependent on fiding aditional energy on the other side, similarly to the Tyranids and their biomass consumption. If they jump into a dead galaxy, they might be stuck there and condemned to a slow death by starvation.

    I find imagining this from the perspective of the Unbidden rather hilarious. They're just going on, conquering the galaxy, not having much pushback and feelin' dang good about themselves, all smug'n haughty... and then every single star implodes, every planet is destroyed and they're just left sitting there in their ships like ".....wat."

Alternatively you could start necrophage, and attempt to not only turn all species into your lithoids, but in addition eat all planets that aren't preferred by your species. • @chrisforrester2858

    @chrisforrester2858

    2 жыл бұрын

    Super true.. ACOT:SOFE & Giga's Lux Aeternum is a particularly beautiful endgame piece, actually requiring the megastructure defense systems (phanon tech) & extremely tight timing to maintain galactic control. Tried it out (something like 90hr playtime thru and thru) w/ Robo mod+ corpse processor and found there were multiple times in the game where my empire would get so hated (due to genociding the last pop from any particular run) that it'd take an entire reshuffle of galactic powers to have allies that didn't abhor my empire, even while imperium leader. Also, Acquisition of Technology. Here's a cool story that most will probably never see - "Void Spheres", which are.. I think end-tech++, requires cracking void worlds via, (almost always unless under extremely specific events), "Emissary" units, which are like hyper-powered drop/planet tech from the ACOT series.. they operate unlike anything else and they're only available at the end-tech levels, and then you have to do a few completely new decision pathings, then have multiple pseudo-terraforming scenarios occur to just get the this new Void Sphere planet ready. It's a really great planet/district type! You can actually build out influence(!!) And then the Phanon defense gigastructural bases (as mentioned, actually still useful(!) in the highest-end-end scenario designed by these guys, the Lux Aeternum) are I believe 3 layers of giga structures (starting with a generating a unique star type, which is just so boss at that point in the game) with I believe 3 layers of upgrading each, and then (24 guns)x768 days (* 2 stages) in day's time for the actual defensive guns, which are about each the level of ~1/3rd of a System Stellarcraft (with maxed static-light weaponry!) in defensive power. There's also a few niche events that accelerate/make it possible to even keep up, one I found was an excavation that gave a Phanon Mirror buildable megastructure (so you could take 3 waves of Phanon defense forces in a chosen/owned system, rather than pissing off the default Phanon base, losing access to services, and having their massive mega-fleets destroy everything nearby,) at which point if successful you can do the army-based missions, which fyi, you'd need to be aware of something like 10 years in advance so you can have enough tier 3 armies combining to make 10m strength needed to beat the ground forces there, at the time of fleet victory. The craziest part for me in the whole Stellaris mod cycle, is that you can tell there's another whole phase these guys in the mod group are designing. These end-tech++ setups take about an in-game decade from their initial availability to even build out (with maxed repeatables, and many stacked mods), and I believe there's 2 coinciding layers from both the ACOT developer (who's dealing with post-SOFE design and apparently a completely new mechanic-based species) and the gigastructures who's weaving all of his work into that endgame. TLDR; As Scyobi said. Mind-blowing. What an amazing community.

    With the admiral customisation, I found Agressive, Cautious, Trickster, and Connected to the data network (or whatever the one to do with leveling is called) the best combination. Higher range, faster fire rate, better disengage chance = fewer ships lost. And then if one admiral levels up, they all do. Combine this with putting data backup on your pops and the admirals also get that trait, so if they die you just get them back. So many high level admirals

    Would love to see a video or set of videos on Ancient Cache of Technologies (ACOT) it does make your saves last a little longer with all the story and the new techs make cleaning up the galaxy a lot easier
