Because we are taught that “real love” is what she describes in the chorus… every movie every book describes love like that… as kids we are taught that a boy only hurts us because he loves us… we’re domed! I had one of those perfect boys. He’s the one who got away and I regret it every day! Actually talked about him with my sister yesterday. I’m 42 now and it was a lifetime ago. But I will probably regret that for the rest of my life (And believe me, you can make it exiting and fun with a perfect man too 😊)

Yes! This! I completely agree! This is how love is described, and that the bad one treats you like that cause he loves you. Maaaaan! This is one of those things like if I knew then what I know now
