I have a 5 week old raccoon can you please help me and let me know what to feed it.. I've been had it ever since it was week old her teeth are starting to come in and I never gave her real food yet I think it's time now but I don't know what to feed and only thing I've been giving her was kmr kitten milk

Yeah it was quite the ordeal moving haha. A lot of projects needed to be completed. Once part 2 of the enclosure build is done we should be back on a regular schedule again... Lord willing.

Happy early birthday! I typically do not recommend raccoons as pets. We have gone through extreme measures to make sure they cannot tear up our house. Despite our best efforts they have flooded our house twice haha. They also can be aggressive and temperamental at times. Its a lot of work!

Thanks! The plywood walls are just to prevent raccoons from chewing through the wall haha. They will eventually be painted and covered up with fun climbing obstacles for them and other enrichment!

tell them no, if they don't listen say no again and then put them in a crate for 15-20 minutes. Do this every time they bite too agressively. You might have to put them in the crate like 10 times in a row. It takes about 2 weeks for them to start listening. Its important to train them young when they are actually manageable. An adult raccoon that isn't trained can hurt you pretty badly.

Raccoons are the BEST animals ever!!

@@mikeluft8929 Yeah that would be the worry, but most of the time they just rip the outlet covers off and call it a day. But with the enclosure we make sure they can't get into any trouble when they are in it. This allows us to put them up when we are out of town and not have to worry about something being destroyed or them getting hurt.

@@Jason97 it prob would be just piper. it would be hard to wrangle two raccoons at once, and piper is more relaxed than Cheeto.

They have floor paint for your garage that comes in different colors like blue n glitter type specks u throw while the paint is wet, that would have been cooler looking than the grey floor paint.

That stuff is used for slip resistance. It actually sits ever so slightly raised on the flood, because of that, it makes it harder to clean. I used a version of that last time and had to put another coat over it cover it up.

How do you keep from getting sick from the Raccoons or your other animals from getting roundworms?

You have an entire workshop apparently. Only a table saw is missing as far as I can see. Nice. As far as I can remember you were trying to get them accustomed to live freely in the house. That did not work out apparently.

Haha my wife thinks I put you up to this comment 😂. A table saw is one of the few tools I don’t have and been talking about wanting to get one. Piper grew up free roaming so she free roams the house. Cheeto on the other hand didn’t and doesn’t behave as well. Even if they both free roam we would still build something like this. It’s important to have a safe raccoon proof room for them in case we go out of town or if people are working on the house, etc.

Honestly I’d not recommend it. They destroy so much stuff. Our couch is not currently usable. They have also flooded our house on several occasions.
