UPDATE: we put her new cat scratch chair in one of her favorite corners of the house where she used to sit on a window sill. She now spends so much time there on this chair that it's already covered in cat hair 😺🤣 Also we got so much cute footage of Joob we couldn't fit it all in this video. Since I found you two, you inspired me to start making and have become a huge part of my life. You have inspired me to start making resin art, painting, woodworking, acrylic pours, and even indirectly sewing! Oh my god - the absolutely chaos in the "stapling the thumb" story is amazing. The cat eating the squirrel in the background sent me. Also my local Void LOVES that owl teaser toy as well. She also loves grooming the feathers ... and has licked them right off of the toy. We have two of them floating around the house that are totally wingless LOL.

@@EvanAndKatelyn my girlie always "kills" her toys immediately by chewing all the feathers off, then completely loses all interest in them after that. I've started glueing or stapling feathers back onto the toys to keep them in circulation longer. 😉

Just a little tip for future "upholstery" when you put the cloth over the back, then fold it and staple through the fold. This makes it cleaner and less likely to pull out.

As a family where the cats out number the humans 😁😁😺😺😺😺, we totally appreciate all your love for Joob and making her happy. We made a cat wall in our guest bedroom that has platforms, scratchers, and hammocks. The cats just love it. We now refer to that room not as the guest room, but the cat room. 🤣

you two could turn this channel into a completely Joob focused channel, and I wouldn't be mad at all

There is NOTHING worse in the middle of a DIY project than suddenly realizing there's a much better way of doing something, but you're already too far along to change course. You just have to power through and hope you at least have something to laugh about afterwards! Luckily, I'm sure you guys will think of all new projects to use the old chairs for!

I went to an animal shelter yesterday and saw this adorable huge Maine Coon cat that looked a little like Joob his name was dexter he was super cute

This reminds me of when I was in art college. A girl a year ahead of me wrapped a rocking chair, a floor lamp and a tricycle in the same stuff as an art project. No idea what happened to them. And I got a good laugh from the staple/cat eating squirrel story! I'm sure it wasn't funny at the time, but.... 🤣

I don't know if you know this, but you can tell how excited a cat is for something by their tail base. Their tail base will get fluffier if they want scritches or are excited by a toy. You can see how fluffy Joob's tail base is at 15:44.

I know I could comment this under literally every single video of yours but even without considering that you guys post something every single month (on average) your editing adds so much personality and fun and is clearly made with a lot of love. There are so many little quirks and visual gags like the little Katelyn lifting weights during the montage, the text hammering along with Evan or his head coming out of the mood ring toilet. And all of that is on top of the creative projects you have to come up with, plan and actually build. I watch a lot of KZread in my free time (probably too much) and your channel is definitely in the absolute top tier when it comes to quality and effort.

I'm really appreciating all this cat themed content lately!

Y’all are the only KZreadrs that I never skip through the add for because they are so entertaining and fun. I love the fact I adore this channel so much that even adds for things I never will use ( sadly can’t have a pet at my apartment) but still I love watching! Also this chair looks like a chair from a beach house like put sea shells on it and boom rental condo for family vacation 😅😂 but seriously looks great!

That's what I was thinking. Dye the rope black and then it'll match the other chairs if you get them as dining chairs.

In high school art class, I got the clever idea to see if one of these "ca-chunka" staples would go through a #2 pencil. It went right in! But more than that, it had (surprise!) stapled the pencil to the desktop. I grabbed the pencil and started to try to get it free, and eventually rolled the pencil, at which point the staple ends, sticking out of the far side of the pencil, rolled over right into my thumb. Now, the pencil was stapled to my thumb. Very few things "get to" me, but something about that gave me the woozies real good.

Joob needs her own bedroom full of kittified furrniture. I need to see what you've done for her cat litter. Does she have a special cabinet for that?? I need ideas🐱😍

I loved hearing the "Staple Thumb" story because I did something similar when I was around 8 I think. I was also Changi the staples in the stapler but I had never done it before and I put both of my thumbs over the holes where the staples come out and pressed down to close the stapler. Needless to say my parents saw me walk out of the office, stunned, with my thumbs stuck together by a single staple. I didn't cry until after they pulled the staple out because I was just so in shock that it even happened.

Yeah I didn't cry when I stapled my thumb replacing staples either. I guess the shock must have been the reason. Though thinking about it I didn't cry when I ended up getting my finger zzzed by the hand blender. It was supposed to only turn on when you pressed the button, but I dislodged a bit of banana that was caught above the blade and it span a bit, so like I guess I must have caught the button but I didn't knowingly press it because I knew not to do that for obvious reasons.
