Ahahaha! Don't tell Katelyn but yeah I definitely might have used this project as an excuse to buy a total overkill of a robot. It can easily handle adding weapons, encoders, motors, etc and yes it was hard to control it at such a low percent. Might be good to reprogram the controller to help but it's just so fun to keep it's full potential available -E

@@EvanAndKatelyn My brother is involved in FIRST Robotics and my dad is one of the coaches, he was looking over my shoulder and said the base looked a lot like the ones they use for competitions. Of course they put bumpers on the outside, which hides the wheels (collisions are common during those events) and attach things like a scoop and launcher for picking up and throwing dodgeballs, or extendable hooks to climb what in this year's competition is basically an extra-strong set of uneven parallel bars. As far as controls, I wonder if a speed knob would be possible to add.

@@dbseamz I was on a FIRST Robotics team from 2017-2021 and this robot really does look like a chassis of our robots, except for a few “vital” details: There aren’t enough holes in the chassis. No holes from both the design of the metal and manually drilling (mostly because they aren’t trying to drop weight here; for those who don’t know, the robots we build to complete have a weight limit of typically around 120 pounds, without the external items like the battery and bumpers). Also, they aren’t running this for speed. Nor are they putting a large screen of advertising or designs on all sides of the machine. But they are driving on carpet, but not carpet that has been run over for years. Nor are there five other running robots on the same field.

With this being an April 1st upload I was half expecting the end of the video to be a Joobie stunt double driving the car of a cliff

I had a thought and can't get it out of my head now: you should make a cat bus for outdoor use. I know you can't reuse the base anymore since she likes it so much, but you can always make something else in the cat bus design... I just need a cat bus project now... Please make a cat bus!

Evan is a kid in a candy store. Congratulations on the build! Edit: I think the walking outside build will need to be a lid onto the cat bed. So she can have the best of both worlds. A great cat bed with a lid that keeps her safe outside. Can’t wait to see that build!

Im thinking they make a "docking area" so Joobie can get in, cover the sides with the mesh, and the lid is removable.

I think of all the things you've done this is my favorite. Joob looks so content. 15/10 cat parents!

They make strollers for dogs/cats. They're enclosed with mesh windows. In case you actually want to "walk' your cat. They're like $45 - $60. I had to buy one when my 14 year old pug/maltese tore both of her ACLs, so i could still take her on walks with the other dogs. She loved it. I can still remember her little kinked tail wagging non-stop while she cruised around on her throne.

I cannot get over how excited Evan is about building a car for Joob, like man…wish my husband was this hyped about our cats Beau and Arrow

I appreciate that y’all show the prooooceeeess of getting a cat to be comfortable with new stuff. Because it *is* a process. 😂😂😂💖

You can adjust it so you have 100% stick movement with only 1% total power output for smooth throttle modulation and safety. Accidently giving too much throttle and her tail could get caught in the wheels. Wheel fenders need to be added as the robot has enough power to easily break her tail or a limb if it gets snagged.

The little space cat bed just slowly moving around reminds me of a little mars rover 😊

11lbs isn’t heavy. That’s a perfectly healthy lady. Well fed and in a loving home; that’s what 11lbs is.

Depends on the cat. Have a 12lb cat which is obese (diet for a loooong time, determined!) but joob isn’t fat at all

@@cwill2127 I have a 21lb cat who's a little on the chunky side, but he's huge everywhere-- his head is freaking gigantic, his legs are very long, his tail is at least 3" longer than my other cat's. He is a polydactyl house panther.

I don't know who to be more proud of... Joobie for being a brave regal girl, Katelyn for awesome throne design, or Evan for restrained chaos control...? Well done, team! 😄🐾

This is awesome! Really hope to see a future enclosure build for this thing! My only suggestion for this open top throne would be to put some type of flares/cover over the top of the wheels. I’d be afraid her tail floof would get caught up some how. Plus her not being able to see the wheels moving might make her feel safer somehow 🤷‍♀️ idk, just a thought.

Yay!!! Can’t wait to watch projects for Joob are my favorite! Queen Joobie definitely deserves this for all of her hard supurrrvising work.

I have to say that the joy Even showed should be bottled and sold to the whole planet. What a world that would be. Chaos, giggle giggle giggle, chaos, etc. Its my choice to rewatch these builds more than once just to see Evens reaction. MORE.

I love Katelyn's nervous yet tolerant smile juxtaposed with Evan's glee at the beginning (what did we need that arrived on a pallet via freight???)

Evan is the living embodiment of CHAOS when he gets excited, and boy does having a robot gets him going! Look at those hops!

The next step would be to turn this into one of those suitcases that follows you around the airport 😂 But instead she follows you on her throne everywhere you go!

I’ve watched this channel for many years, and I have to say this is the most excited I’ve ever seen Evan get about a project

The joy is so palpable lol when he was so excited he had to take her hand lol do what you love goals lol

OMG he's so excited at the beginning. I can also tell how much you two love each other. Y'all fit so perfectly well together. Katelyn, I hope I can I find my Evan one day.

Evan’s sheer joy over the “eye” lights is great.!

Ideal transformation from this point is: 1) To make a seethrough 'lid' which essentially makes the bed a cat carrier, and then 2) Make the base easier to attach/detach so that you can put the bed/cat carrier on wheels when you want to, and use the RC base for other stuff without using her new favourite bed!

You guys should make a see-through resin box to go around it so you can take her on walks

omg i love how excited Evan is at the beginning like "how to turn cat into robot cat" and the joy of getting his own robot. Just the excitement snort while Katelyn is like "should i be excited or scared" as he does his evil villain laughs. At this rate you guys should build a resign based robot friend for evan.

Love it! I used to have a cat that loved being carried around in a basket so one day I hung it up and pushed her in it like a swing. She stayed in it for a long time and she loved it!

I just love how much Unus Annus merch Katelyn has! Always makes me happy to see that some bigger KZreadrs were along for the ride and are fans just like us

So we basically watched half a video of 2 people just playing with/training their cat. I'm good with that. Joobie is absolutely adorable.

Yes! Like I know Joobue stopped using the wheel at the old house but I hope Evan put on the anti slip pads and that she likes it more in the new house. I also know the Jean butt bed is in the closet with the pumpkins but where is everything else and does Joobie still use it?

I love how much you guys clearly love and respect your cat. Catnip is so interesting, some cats, like my old cat, are less affected by it. Joobie wants to lie down on it, and my current cat wants to rip it apart, rub in it, and then gets so playful he wants to rip apart everything else, including my hands.

The Evan joy is contagious. I’ve got a surgery tomorrow and I’ve been really nervous but this vid gave me a serotonin boost that’s got me feeling better

You should make an enclosed glass/plastic version, but in a way so that you can attach it and detach it to her zoomie throne. That way you don’t have to make a new throne, just add a covering that you can attach and remove easily. Then she can do outside zoomies

the excitement of Evan and the approval of Katelyn is everything,

And you can also add stuff like maybe a mini scratching post on the front and a removable "clear lid" like a see through box which you can remove and little breathing holes throughout. You can also fit bags of treats on the back since there is a little gap. You can also add something like a blanket or rug where she likes to lay. And if you really want to, you can make different designs to be able to switch out. Again, all these things are just suggestions so you don't have to add anything but if you want to here are some ideas. Have a great day!

I needed this fun cat video today! I just recently lost my precious cat Spooky!! She was about 7-8 year old and we think she had abdominal cancer of some sort. I really needed a fun cat video to enjoy and of course Spooky was a black cat and seeing Joobi just helps me. I still have Spooky’s Twin sister Skylie but it still hurts. Spooky and I had such a special bond she was like my soulmate in a cat and she got so sick so quickly it destroyed me when we had to put her down!! I miss her so much everyday but seeing how much you guys love Joobi reminds me of my Spooky and I just want to thank you! ♥️
