Turning a tree into a MASSIVE bike jump WITHOUT Power Tools

In this trail build, I create a whale jump or "Mammoth Tusk" jump without power tools, nails, or screws. And the wood comes from the trees on my property. The Primal Trail earns its name on this one since we built it completely from scratch. First, we clear the path for the trail, then we build the jump. This prepping process helps prevent wildfires and restores nutrients to the ground.

When the wood dries (seasons), or during winter, during freeze and thaw, is when the deck boards will pop off. In really cold winters, for a few days, I always have deck boards pop loose from the boards loosening their grip around the nails due to the expanding and contracting. So expect that.
