I am not 35 or close to it yet. But I resonate with this so much. In the past I have felt so lacking for not meeting certain benchmarks for my age but I’m really settling into my authentic truth and living and building a life that I truly desire. I turned 30 at the end of last year and have really started to feel the pressure of certain milestones or societal expectations, both professional and personal, and it's been an ongoing journey of trying to pin down/remember my personal goals and path. I've always known I didn't want a traditional career path and I resonate with sooo much of what you touched on from wanting to find stability in your own way to being first gen and the eldest daughter of an immigrant family, to your views on religion/spirituality, this video made me feel very seen. Thank you for sharing, I resonate so much with what you said. Im 30 years old and recently one of my friend ask if i wanted to have kids why havent I started. Like you said I dont want to have kids and im not establish in myself. But then I have been thinking lately, what if nothing change drastically years from now, am I just going to keep hoping and letting the time pass me by. I want to buy myself a van and travel the world, create content, im a writer and an Artist. I want to live the life I want to and not be settled for what is thrown at me. I dont want to be force to live the life everyone settle with. Of course I want to get married, I want a home, a garden, kids, a steady income, but I want to accomplish that doing the things I love and not be unhappy and restricted in someone else vision of a 9/5. Usually I work 14hr a day every day for 8 months contract sailing and im miserable for that period of my existence. I figure i wasted too much time living for the world and just want now to be happy
