Turning $100 into a HIGH-END Gaming PC - S3:E2 "DOUBLE or NOTHING"

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Last episode we JUST scraped by, and managed to turn that $100 AUD into a smooth $270, now with $270, we have to start building up, though the speed at which that last setup left, it just means we have to do a double up.

Hope you guys enjoyed this one! still have to source a GPU for the second rig, though going to power this season as fast as I can during December, as it's hyper season right now (locally where I am) for flipping. Also I updated the Profile picture and banner for the channel, needed to a fresh, new, electric look.

@@lucasrembecause what you are saying right now is really easy to say however say if we put a backstory behind you : You like to play light games such as minecraft, fortnite, csgo, hoi4 perhaps and some other games. However you have a very small budget right now, but you want to own a pc to get ahold of the experience and learn from mistakes. Also you can overclock the GPU to get 10 more fps performance, optimizing your OS would also help, and it's overall a great value card I must admit, however I'd much rather a rx 480 than it, but if I'll have no choice then gtx 760 it is

The 2nd one lied about repasting the gpu , botched helping me with the installation , breaking the wrong slot cover, and when i decided to give him more business since he advertized repairing controllers etc , i ended up losing a broken ps3 (took out the HDD before tho) and a ps4 controller to him.Made sure he got banned from both marketplace communities , he came at me from fake profiles , so i made sure to troll the f outta him in the comments ( what can u do 🤷)and also some other smalltime crook came telling me about him as if they rivals fighting for turf 🤣 Now im stuck with a spare 3200g , 9100f(i upgraded both) my small ff rx580 , the 980ti , and soon ill have a spare 3060 12gb🥴 Im trying to hold on and not get the 4070super , rather stick with the 3060 and my 4070 , and wait for a 5070 just cause of that ... 🥴 I cant find it in me to do the dance , put up ads n try to flip em ...🤷 And i dont have a nephew /niece to built a pc for either 😅 Oh the humanity! TTo give an example i see ppl selling an i5 9th or 10th for about 180 USD just the CPU. I think this is happening becouse of speculation in the hardware market, since there was a limit for importations. Hey Brian, just wanted to correct what you said at 8:48 as your friendly electrician/pc enthusiast. Molex is only 12V, which isn't dangerous really... you'd be hard pressed to even feel it. Think about a 9V battery, and how you have to lick it to even feel a teeny buzz of electricity. Granted, there's more current coming from molex, but even still, you'd barely feel it on dry skin, if at all. For reference, wiring in houses is 120-240V, which is more like the range where things start getting very dangerous, and industrial settings are often up to 600v+. Hope this helps, loving the series!

I'm happy for you that your channel has grown so big, I've known your channel for several years. This series is still new to me, I probably didn't watch all the vids xD, but I got into the used parts +x58 back then. In any case, I like your videos and keep it up *thumbs up*. Used hardware has so much more for the money than new ones, I ordered new PC parts and spent a lot of money but in the end I'm still playing on FullHD and the same game :D, my old 2070 would have been enough xd. Greetings from Germany.

I'm just about to build my first PC in a HAF case that I've had for at least 15 years, so I was so happy when I saw yours. My son has one also that he still uses and I've given him carte blanche to repaint the case any way he wants to. It'll be interesting to see it when I move back to Australia at the end of the year

that red cooler master HAF case is so cool! i managed to get that case just for $20 still in good condition, has all the PCI-E shields, good condition 200mm fans and complete screws. I wanna use this case for my next high-end PC cuz for now i'm still using M-ATX PC xD

I miss these old rebuilds. Super fun to watch a decade ago when pcs were in that weird spot. Now the handheld market it taking over for sure and one day will put an end to all gaming pcs. Sad but true. Smaller and smaller we will get.

Asking if people have other parts laying around is something i always do when i pick them up.Or even when shipped. At least half of the times if not more they have something extra.

Fun video. Used PC parts have always a risk of being faulty. I talked to my local dealer and he told me that around 20% of the parts he gets end up in need of repair or just e-waste. Part of doing business.

those HAF cases are so cool to me, ive never seen them in anything other than black though. and whenever i see them for sale theyre actually kind of pricey for an older case, i think people like them so they hold some value. and that gpu and case look great together, nice happenstance. also that psu seems kind of cool, 2 separate 12 volt rails is nice.

Was it much of an upgrade though? Seems like 20-30% faster. Anyway.. I have a similar GPU currently and it is plenty for my sim rig. I run a little less than 4k upscaled from 1080p getting 100fps. Works perfectly.

@@christophermullins7163 yea, it was actually a really big upgrade, never thought the extra 2gb vram would help that much.esp I play mostly play at 1440p, and dssl is alot better than fsr 2.0. Just the image quality alone is 100x better in my opinion. My pc would sound like jet engine sometimes in hogwarts legacy, now my gpu fans hardly even come on.Im a happy gamer with atleast 60 fps!❤
