Turning $100 into a HIGH-END Gaming PC - S3:E3 "Lucky Meets Unlucky"

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Last episode we NAILED the cheap gaming pc setups, and managed to turn that $270 AUD into a smooth $600, though I hear you, and we subtracted $80 for gas. And we have an interesting middle ground that we will power through, though difficulties and hurdles still await.

06:16 Testing monitors quick and easily, things I look out for.

Actually think Nerdonabudget's UPS testbed setup would be perfect or at least getting a live test of the GPU before you leave. Great work, Guess for me I see those missing/damaged fanblades as a huge red flag potentially. Would actually like to see more on testing used GPUs. Most of my stuff was my old gear shuffled around so it is interesting to learn more.

I have an ITX board with a 7th gen i7-7700k I built into an aluminum case that I can test parts on and plug a monitor into the inverter. You can do what suits you, but this has helped me from getting hosed so many times at this point. It's always easy to tell because the person expects for you to not be able to verify until your far away from them, or they dodge the question of can I see it run before I buy it. As many parts that you deal with buddy incorporating this into the Tech Yes mobile may just be what you need.

Anychance for you add some minimum wage on the costs too per hour you spend on this stuff? You make profit on these videos, we get it -- But those who want to strike a bit of extra income doing exactly the same in their area would be wondering about this. That would include drive time etc. total time spent should be accounted for

there was once a BIOS unlocker that, based on your serial number, unlocks BIOS. since it's an HP with more safety precautions than features, I think either unlocker or just leave the board and change it for other standard form-factor one.

If you decide to build the trunk test rig please make a video on it because I'd like to make one myself since I've been hosed a couple times and I can also sell my PC's out of my trunk letting people test them.

My test system would be a inverter and display port to hdmi/vga/ dvi with a old macbook. For a gpu test rig I'd go for a a320 board with a ryzen 3

If you see this, does resetting the cmos stop using the igpu if the installed graphics card does work? Like would it make it stop storing RAM for it?

The closest to lez I’ve found in Scotland is a pc repair shop I go to sometimes that have boxes of mobos some with cpus and/or coolers and normally they will do me a deal on multiple with cases ect. For cash. I’ve gotten a few i7s ect. On mobos that have cost me £5 and all fully working. And I got my last case there aswell brand new for £20 just because it didn’t have the fan controller or the box as it was an out of box display case.

Lez always has the best deals, 2x 100 for 2 gaming pc’s that run games decently well with 4gb vram is a max deal.
