Not unless your phone has an HDMI port 😅. Seriously though, I'm not sure if any cameras are using USB-C to output video instead of HDMI, but if there are some I don't have an answer for you. That's why you need the capture card though. To take the HDMI feed and convert it to a datastream for USB.
I have a amazon tablet to use as my monitor. I hope this will work with my Fujifilm DSLR camera

If it's an Amazon Fire tablet you will probably have to jailbreak it in order to install the Google Play Store app on it so you can get the app needed to work with your dongle.
Will simultaneousy monitoring & recording on the phone via a dongle be of good enough quality for 4k video ?

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking so I will answer both of my possible interpretations. 1. Monitoring will have no impact on the quality of the video recording. 2. If you're wondering if the quality of the monitoring footage will match/reflect the quality of the video footage, it will depend on the quality/capability of the display on your device, your settings, etc. Hope this helps.
I shot a lot on my iPhone, is there a way to use another iPhone or iPad as the monitor? Wired connection. The apps don’t quite work. Thank you!

Not that I know of. Sorry!
Thank you, did you test this on Android 10?

This was on a jailbroken Kindle Fire 10 HD+, which runs Android 9.
Will this work with the iPad mini 6? Thanks!

As I said in the video, if your IOS device is a newer USB-C model, and the dongle you get says it's IOS compatible it should work, but I can't recommend an app for it.
I wonder if I can connect directly usb-c (sony a6600) with usb-c (android tablet)

I don't have a good response to this. My last Sony was an A6000, and that was years ago. I'm guessing you can, though. Post your findings here, for sure!
Does your tablet monitor screen go black when pressing record on camera?

No. That would defeat the purpose as a monitor. I have it facing towards me and use to make sure my shots stay in frame, check my focus tracking if I'm holding up objects, etc.
For iOS use MONITOR+ or similar… By the way… you can use no dongle and buy a cable HDMI to USB-C

Thanks for the information! Good looking out for my followers in the iOS community.

How reliable is Monitor+ for you? I’ve had a lot of trouble with it freezing and crashing. Then I’m doing a repeated unplug of everything, closing and reopening the app and turning the camera on and off trying to get it to work again.
What app for iOS??

As I mentioned in the video I am not sure what the Apple equivalent app is. I would make sure your USB-C dongle says it's Apple compatible and then use whatever app comes with it.

The capture dongle is less than $10. That's all you need to turn your phone or tablet into a monitor, as long your camera has compatible connections. I simply lay out the potential other costs you may run into depending on your circumstances or optional accessories you may or may not already own. I call out the worst-case total investment at 3:25.
