The giant zucchini featured in this video we harvested at Cloverfield Organic Pick-it-Yourself farm in El Sobrante, CA. When I brought it home (because I did not have the heart to put it into the compost pile with all other overgrown zucchinis) my grandson was adoring it so much - it gave me an idea for this video. And here it is - I hope some gardeners out there will learn something new, or maybe just enjoy watching it. Lena

That looks so delicious! I used to live in a summer community where if you left your car windows open in town while you shopped, there might be large zucchini left on your seat by local gardeners who planted more than they could eat or sell. It always made me smile and feel like I was part of a loving community.

Zucchinis are generous plants

So happy to see one of our humongous zucchinis getting made into a delicious dish!

Watching this video made my mouth water. I'm sure this was delicious and you may even have some left-overs to enjoy chilled. Having your grandson hold the giant squash was very compelling and gave some valuable scale. Great video!

Can u freeze these roasted squash. Or can u freeze fresh squash and the barbecue UT.

You cab freeze squash, but it won't barbeque well after - will be too mushy. You could use frozen squash in other dishes, such as soups. I would not recommend freezing barbequed squash either - it's good fresh, and freezing will take that out
