the video is great, I found it very clean and inspiring. I would like to ask you if while you're recording every part are you having in mind some kind of mixing (not definitive of course). Because I noticed that everything sounded in different layers, and that change a lot the arrangement. Thanks for the content Leo!!!

Hi Jose, thanks for your comment. I kinda build up the mix as I go, without putting a lot of effort into it, but I always like to hear things where they should be roughly speaking (volume, eq, FX, etc.). In this video I had a slightly different approach, where I neglected the mixing part a little bit (until part 3 of the series) for teaching purposes. Hope that replies your question. Thank you.

Great lighting and videocamera positions! I like the overall sound. Personally I would like to have a higher snaresound. I guess it now is more in the register in which you sing (to my ears at least) and I would add a more pronounced and higher sounding snare. Or you'd might raise your voice singing the lyrics but this is a bit out of your reach as I heard you say. It's somewhat hard for me to hear you slip notes at the end when you sing. If not attainable to sing higher I'd advise you to find a singer with a higher singing voice to sing the lyrics. You could add in your own lower voice in the chorus. I am curious to see what's coming up in your next videos!

Hi Martijn, thanks for you comment. It's interesting to hear your perspective. I think I need a bit more context to understand it properly though. Are you referring to a specific part of the video (or the song)? "It's somewhat hard for me to hear you slip notes at the end when you sing" what does 'slip notes' mean in this context?
