It’s clear: Nick is King Midas in 21st Century
I've watched most of your GIMP tutorials and I think my latest thumbnails really show how much more comfortable I am with the program after. You're great at teaching!! Thanks for sharing, keep up the good shit!!
These last couple of tutorials are really of a new level, love them all.
The Midas touch.
I have watched some of your other Gimp tutorials because I have recently got the program, they have been very easy to follow and the results look awsome, and this tutorial was no different! I can not wait to try it out!☺

IT WORKS!!! It looks like magic watching your video but it's so satisfying doing it myself. Another video saved for future reference. Thanks.
I have used this tutorial several times already. Thank you so much for making this.
Nice!! I Love Your Tutorials!!
Plus 1 for the glow effect trick! I think I had used it before, but I forgot how to do it until now. Thanks!
The background color blur around the object was worth this video alone. I already did a logo I've been wanting to do for some time now. Thank you very much, sir
AWESOME! Keep it up Nick

Great TUT. Thank you
Thanks for the awesome tutorial!
Really appreciate your work
ABSOLUTELY AWESOME
Fantastic. I could follow that!
Hi! Great video, as usual :) Thx for your awesome tutorials. One suggestion: Could you create Tutorials with all simple task in gimp to understand the Basics? For example description of different tools and what we can do with, layer mecanism, etc... You have started this kind of explanation with 2 videos i think. A Lower level to explain + try to continue your "Gimp Basics" series would be great. I'm pretty sure that a lot of people could be interested. Thx to have read this comment. :)
Thank you for the tutorial
thanks 4 yr excellent lessons .....mr. nick
Impressive, easy & effective.
This is a gem of a trick.
Thank you!!! So helpful.
Nick, priceless! Have tried it out using the face of the man you used for smoke and ice, brilliant, Goldfinger. Now going for maximum "Brownie" points and doing my dear wife! Thank you very much. West
Awesome! I love Gold👑
Wouw thanks Nick
Thanks for all your guides Nick, I started with your GIMP guides and now I've progressed to Inkscape. It really helps now that Grand Turisimo Sport allows you to upload Decals into the game as long as they are vector files in SVG format. However they have to be less than 15kb in size. This has caused me lots of fun with trying to make them smaller. I discovered OMGSVG and it has really helped. But any other advice on keeping SVG's small?
great job my friend!
Good Work, Thanks for sharing
Oh my God Nick, you are the GIMP god!
Very helpful for me, a novice. Thank you very much. What would be extremely helpful is a brief explanation of the effects of a particular action. So, for example, if you tell us to click the gradient tool and make the mode overlay, why? What does that mean, in simple terms. Also, I run the videos on a laptop whilst using GIMP on my desktop. This means I have to keep pausing the video, which is fine, but it would be very helpful if you could go a little slower and separate each activity, so it is absolutely clear what one has to do before moving on to the next step, especially when you backtrack and change your mind about doing something in a particular way. Otherwise, I really appreciate your hard work putting these videos together.
you rock !! thanks
Your every is gold in itself
you are great, thank you!
Very well done
Thank you very very very very very very very very very much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! May God bless you with a life full of gold! Excelent video.

Straight forward instructions, thank you! How about turning a vector image to gold? That would be great.
you were the man
Thanks so much
Maestro! Gracias
LEGEND
Awesome video Nick! 2 Quick questions: How can you do this with people's photos? I tried but the face gets distorted a little bit and it's hard to identify who the person is (in case you want to give a gift to some one else) & second question is how to keep the background white? If I would like to print it on a white canvas for example. Thanks in advance for your responses.
thankyou!♥
Thanks!
Hi Nick, thank you for making videos on GIMP. I have a suggestion, can you please make a video on how to make a tie dye effect on GIMP? It doesn't have to be rainbow colored. I found only two videos on tie dye in GIMP and they're not very good. Thanks again.
Great tutorial. Can this also be done with text? I have a project I am doing for someone and they want bronze metallic writing on a banner.
Nice Tutorial! I was wondering though, the one that you created in this tutorial looks a bit different then the original one, color-wise. The first one looks more gold, how can I make mine look like it?
Not even what I'm trying to do but still looks amazing
Neat!
Iconic
Wow!!
Any chance you can make a tutorial that explain how to make business cards or brochures?
can u show us how to make a glitch effect on a photo
Hi, can you make a tutorial how to make glowy eyes on gimp?

What Font are you using for "gold"?
How did he get the shiny hint. Mine looks golden but it’s not shiny. Seems flat
great tutorial, the gaussian blur does absolutely nothing to the golden(ish) color in the second layer, I made sure I have it selected and couldn´t figure out what I did wrong
