It’s real it was acoustic guitar and the problem was that you didn’t inflate it enough to hold in place around the ring. And that’s how you do it

Lemme just say this. You didn’t inflate the balloon enough, and it’s the wrong type of balloon. You’ve got to make it so the strings just barely miss the balloon, and I’d recommend thick rubber balloons.

No the other gentleman had blown up the balloon just a little bit bigger so when he popped it in the soundhole the balloon was touching the strings, but I would imagine you would have to get just the right amount of air in the balloon so skin would be bareilly touching the strings,to give it a slap snare like sound banjos are noted for,they are basically a tambourine with strings stretched across it, weird instrument indeed.

Hmm I don't know, maybe the balloon has to fill the entire hole but not touch the strings? I still like to believe it could work maybe.

inflate it until it just touches the strings. It gives enough damping to make a passable banjo "plunk" noise. :)

I love these irreverent-humour videos. As for the task at hand, I think maybe you needed to inflate the pink balloon a bit more, so that it covered more of the acoustic's sound hole. Then maybe it would work...

No it's not fake, you just not put enough air on those balloons

If you would have blown the balloon up larger it would have plugged the port better without touching the strings. Your balloon looked undersized compared to the original.

I think that you inflated the balloon incorrectly, and therefore the sound is not the same.
