Turn a Flashlight into a Bicycle Light!
Buy a Bright Light: amzn.to/2Iz34O0
A video showing you how to turn a flashlight into a bike light. I used a bright Fenix E11 LED flashlight and mounted it onto my bicycle's handlebars. Very simple, inexpensive but effective. You can use the same process for many different flashlights in various sizes. The tools you will need are:
-Bright Flashlight
-Bicycle with handlebars
-Old Bicycle inner tube or similar rubber
-Rubber wristband (Livestrong type)
****Extra Tips not mentioned in the video****
-Use 2 Rubber wristbands if you are using a flashlight that is heavier.
-Bright colored bands will allow you to be seen better on the road (from the sides)
-You can use a similar mounting approach for your helmet (depending on the vent holes in your helmet).. Be creative!
-Having some electrical tape is your friend in the event that the rubber bands fail.
Many different ways to do this... But I find this to be the most inexpensive and useful for me. Thanks for watching!
As always, thanks for the continued support!

Simple solutions are the best. Thanks for the video.
That’s super smart and never would have thought of it. Thanks man!
This is late, but thank you! I have a wrist band just like that, and I finally have a use for it. I've been looking at bike flashlight mounts but also love to DIY so I came across your video. You are awesome. 👍🙂
Omg. Brilliant! I realized bike lights are basically the same as the LED flashlights I have at home already so was looking for a way to mount it. This is perfect and easy and so smart. :)
I wish I have seen this before purchasing a dedicated bike light. Thanks for sharing
Very smart, simple and nice!
haha i have a great flashlight and i just recently bought a $19 bike mount for it... 19 bucks! and this will do a same job for probably less than a coffee!
This little trick saves so much money. Thank you very much.
Thank you! The lights we bought online didn't have a mount, and we couldn't think of anything on how to put it on our handles. Thanks!
Brilliant, so is your illuminating idea! Thank you!
Let me save 2 mins of your life,
brilliant! I have oversized handlebars and was having real problems fitting a light. this method solved the problem at virtually no expense.
Thanks. Some bike headlights are $15 and up. I bought a simple $1 flash light and was figuring how am I going to attach it to the hanle bar. Ur idea is brilliant! Thanks and I saved $14!
I came back years later to say I still do this. Thabks
Thank you so much for sharing a cost saving idea.
Yeah I found a very useful video! Great! Now I'm going attach my flashlight to handle bars!☺️
Great idea. Saved me from buying another light
Like every one else, good vid! I'm a dedicated bike rider and this is by far one if the best ways to attach your light.
So simple. Thanks for sharing, this will help me out!
