I appreciate your approach to teaching.. To my understanding this just proves how much we need an edge as investors because playing the market like everyone else just isn’t good enough, we just need to hold onto our hopes and wait to see how things turn out because market movements are almost always unpredictable. @@lorienwhite1087 no lies, I had these exact feelings when I started trading options but I was put on the right path by a professional trader whose currently helping me generate good income trading options. There more analyses to be done when trading options due to its high volatility.

Can you make a video of these orders actually going through?

I think people would benefit more from these videos if they saw you trade them in real life. It might seem like a good strategy on paper but you have to worry about fills, slippage, and other factors. Just food for thought.

I don't understand why you show an example of something with a stable stock like Ford that requires a volatile stock. I understand you not doing it with AMC because that's what most people would go and do but pick SOMETHING volatile. Heck, even TSLA or something else that has swings that people probably wouldn't touch.

I put a call on VXX for $30. And within an hour it went up 93% then when I pulled out dropped right back down to what I put in at within 30 minutes

I’m trying but I can’t do bull put ladder in my account????

So you can do the same with calls....and make more! I think making call and put side at the same time yelds more gains in a long run.

I like the idea of making money if the stock moves in either direction. But the maximum profit we can make only when the stock becomes zero $. I would say in a realistic scenario risk is about 50% 50%.

However, I wonder why you never say the day when to place the trade & the date of the event that would cause the stock to have a drastic move. Sorry to see you leave KZread. Before you go, I did a credit iron condor, and after a couple weeks it's showing a positive potential return. 1) had no idea that Iron Condor could be debit or credit 2) I don't want to chance losing my return, but when I put in my price (for a measly $20) there are no takers. I can’t speak for everyone but from my personal experience you shouldn’t hold your contracts to expire

What about the bid - ask price? What are you putting till in to get the order fulfilled?

The answer is it depends on how low F Goes The strategy sell a 15 1/2 put Buy a 15 and a 14 1/2 put for 27 1/2 cent credit That means you can get a signed at 15 1/2 -27 cents - fees, 15.23 would be your average you’re $15 and 14 1/2 dollar put May pay you something if you cash them even if it doesn’t go through those strikes, if it keeps falling below the stripes, you need to do the math to figure out the difference in stock price and those strike prices and or use a calculator for options

You do the opposite of what you did to open the position. The put you sold you buy back, the one you bought you sell, all in one trade. Make sure you sell higher than you bought and buy lower than you sold.

Can you show us an example of you closing out these multi leg trades?

Hello. I know this video is a little old but i hope i get a reply. Im new to trading and i have not invested much because i dont wanna put alot into trading until i understand enough lol. I use robinhood also..so trading options seems simple depending on the stock you are looking at... my question is in your video the put for the $15.50 is where you start to keep your $27 credit even if the stock goes past $15.50 and it ends on July 2nd right? Then you would do the math for the $27 credit for each contract which is 100 which would be $2,700 right? 😅 or did i forgot to subtract something?

And the term "swing sideways" mean the stock goes up and down rapidly right? which can be bad in trade option because it can happen in between the lower put thus you lose money right? 😅🤣

My question is if you set a price and you hit that price but what if it goes down from that price by the time the expiration date hits does it need to be at that price at the expiration date or does it need to hit the price during that week to make a profit?

I think you have to enter the options orders separately to avoid the wide bid ask spread on these crazier plays?

The video is wrong, the OTM is ITM , and viceversa

You only make money almost evenly if the bet is a weekly option, the farther out on expiration you go, the less money you will make unless the price per share drops. I find that several of his options suggestions are misleading unless you keep it simple selling covered calls.

so. if you are credited 27 and your max loss is 23 dollars. you are still pocketing $4 ?? that's kinda wild

It might be a little harder to get filled but if you move the limit price a bit most of the time it's worked for me(unless it's very very far apart)
