If there is one thing that trump has compared to the rest of the players that gives him an advantage, it is optimism. I swear I never saw someone so happy to take a passive that only reduced the cost of one card, and boy did that actually work better than expected. Good on him!

That playmaker combo was an interesting interaction that I would not have assumed worked.

Just did a Modest Aspirations / Royal Greatsword run last week. I rarely play Duels but I got my first 12-0 run easy peasy with this combo

That 6 magic missle dmg had a 1.5% of happening lol, more likely than I thought but still

Yep. They should probably nerf it so that it doesn't target enemies. And even then, it's still EXTREMELY good.

@@Wilsbourne I was thinking the opposite where it only targets enemies so you can't do the deathrattle token shenanigans- but then the hero power might be to simple. Swap every turn / every time you use it?

@@DoABarrelRol1l Yeah maybe. But if you have to target enemies, then that makes it completely and utterly useless and dead in the early game when your opponent is playing 1,2,3, and 4 drops. And against aggressive opponents who ONLY play lower cost minions, it would also be a completely dead hero power. I think it would be too weak if it only targeted enemies. I think the deathrattle token shenanigans is the main focus of the hero power anyway. But right now it is obviously too powerful. Maybe it could summon 2/1s instead of 2/2s? Though that breaks the whole "treant" thing they have going on, since treants are always 2/2. Idk, but it definitely needs some tweaking

@@Wilsbourne I thought it targetting friendly minions was an oversight and meant to be more of a taunt-breaker / big threat removal ala Naturalize but I guess it was homage to Poisonous Seeds. Hard to balance it both ways since making it summon only one 2/2 treant for destroying an enemy threat is pretty strong and only really useful on friendly eggs. A 3-mana hero power is clunky and rare outside of story modes but might be an ok balance. Tour Guide openings would still hurt of course. Make the targeting random maybe? 'Choose one: Destroy a random friendly minion and summon 2 2/2 treants OR Destroy a random enemy minion and summon 2 2/2 treants.' Kinda wordy but keeps tempo-based token decks pumping out treants and lets you possible remove a big threat / taunt.

At 14:56 that had a 1.5% chance of happening... hearthstone is amazing and doesn’t make you feel bad at all.

First time I used the DH "Summon 2 1/1s" hero power I got 11 wins (I got completely trashed at the end by a deck with the 'over 5 mana cost minions cost 5' passive which literally had like 8+ giants played by turn 5 or 6). It can be some really insane control-like deck and I got lucky enough to get the perfect Treasure (the 5 mana give a minion Charge, Windfury, etc.) to complement my pretty much only singular win-condition I put in the deck - the 5 mana 1/1 that gets +1/+1 for every friendly minion death while in your hand. Some matches just felt as if I was bullying the enemy on purpose, while in reality, my win condition was often near the bottom of my deck so I was just stalling with insane ease until I finally draw it and ramp it up enough to usually one-shot the enemy.

Funny that you failed to mention the actual strongest 2 decks, grand finale mage and token druid. DR hunter and Discolock are actually performing worse than last patch because of slight nerfs and the meta impact from aforementioned.

God that last game was annoying. Trump could've stuck a blessing on turn 5 and murdered that rouge before they ever hit their draw.

This video is literally the most recent Duel video on KZread. And it is posted more than a month ago. This speaks of current situation in Hearthstone a lot.

Yeah that's very bad. 1 mana 5 damage to face is not a good card. That's a 1 mana discount on mindblast which was never a good card except for specifically when you could combine it with the rest of the 25 damage to face you need.

I achieved game done quick in similar way, somebody conceded on turn 1 (to be fair i highrolled embiggen into pirate with 2 brigands and patches)

Can’t get over how poorly balanced the whole of duels are 😂 50% of games are decided before they even begin. The rest win by coin flip or luck with a single high roll

Goggles will never be offered first. The pools are always offered in a set order. None of the game 1 treasures are in the game 5 pool, and vice versa.

@@MelanOw I guess but with the sapling Druid, he wasn’t able to use the sword in time, even with coin. At least with the egg play he could have stopped the aggro for going too fast

Wow Mindpocalypse is an aggressively bad treasure. They get to use the mana first, and they get two cards while one of yours just replaced the Mindpocalypse. It's so badly designed

As someone who only owns Priest and like half Hunter cards I was tasked with trying to play 5 duels games. Short story I only got classes I owned no cards for, I had o ly the bare minimum powers and treasures because I own no Darkfaire cards because I don't play Standard and got absolutely stomped all 5 fights. Anyone else here have the same happen to them and find watching duels 10k% more fun than actually playing them?

duels should be a fun mode but we can’t do anything valuewise if u face Druid, Shaman or demon hunter lol.. turn 4 lethal or u control the whOLE game and they have a combo w/ 40+ damage out of nowhere... really disgusting can we build a wall against these stupid no brain strategies

He didn't express any opinion. He literally stated facts. Funding is cut for it, Mexico isn't paying for it(shocker), and we all pretty much forgot about it. The right has pretty much overlooked it entirely, and I don't think they'll care for as long as covid is in the air. Besides, he can say whatever he wants, and he should be given a bit of grace for how respectful he is of everyone. He isn't the type of person to bring something up just to cynically unravel it in front of everyone.
