Trump argues putting tech cards into your deck is a bad idea, a large reason is cause whether your run succeeds or breaks depends on if you got good treasures, apart from that you need to not die in the first aggressive rounds, a very large portion of the time ooze does nothing for you, also, most of the decks you'll run into will not be running weapons, or ones that are impactful enough to be oozed, over a large sample of games, yes, sometimes you'll run into those godlike ooze games, but if you count how many games your ooze is a vanilla 2 mana 3-2 eating up a slot and draw, it's just a bad choice. Would legitimately be an interesting experiment though, run an ooze in every deck you build, and keep track of how many games the ooze was absolutely necessary for the win, and where it might just as well have been an equivalently good or better card than the weapon you oozed.

@@Falonefal Mage is top tier in duels and her treasure is a pretty powerful weapon, so I would argue that alone makes ooze worth it. Paladin and Hunter are also pretty good and they run weapons.

He had answer after answer, board clear after board clear, and just when you thought he was running out of resources: thought steel! Ugh it was exhausting to watch. Games like that are why I stopped playing Hearthstone. It relies too heavily on mechanics that aren't often found in physical TCGs like random card generation.

The intro started as a fun kids tv-show into a clown horror circus, back into a tv-show for kids. I'm scared.

It seems to me that the treasures in general need a balancing round. Some of them are outright terrible (Recycle), while others are busted (Lunar Band, Double Spell).

And why Wax Rager is still in I have no idea...it's just un-fun and extremely difficult to play around because you have no indicator of if they actually have it in their deck or not. Just entirely a bad choice to include in the game mode.

That priest game was really good, end up going all the way to fatigue and playing all cards. Archmage staff early definitely carried you or else you wouldnt have a chance.

It's a wonder if a minion ever sticks on the board for a single turn

yeah but its only 16 (altho unique) cards you need and considering trump also put stuff like wolf rider into his deck and did decently probably dont need that big a collection to scrape by

That hecking priest had every price of control in the book my dudes. I mean how do get out of bed with all those heavy cards weighing you down.

I really hope when this comes out for all it's gonna have other starting treasures/hero powers to shake the game up so we don't just see everybody going for the exact type of deck as everyone else.

Not only every card played, but the Priest got the most lucky at the end by Trump getting lucky and having Mukla summoned both times, since all his removal was 5atk+.

That match against the priest is probably the best match of Hearthstone I've seen.

Yes I literally built a deathrattle deck for hunter and got all deathrattle buckets and treasures later on. Yes even the legendary buckets were filled with sylvanas, Tirions and N'zoths. The high-roll in duels is too real.

Wax rager should be adjusted. The counters are too few and far between.

Shaman and mage can transform it. Dh can silence it. Priest can steal it. Warrior can farm it. Warlock sucks anyways. That and there are several treasures that can remove and or steal it. That being said I agree I think it's kind of lame.

It should be just straight up removed. It either blows out a game or is completely useless. Either one feels awful. Its also far stronger than any other treasure.

That last game was an oof, lost as soon as it began.

At 48:51 why did he not just attack the priest of the feast with the 1/2. Firstly the priest of the feast would’ve died on his turn so the priest couldn’t heal off it, secondly 1 damage hardly matters, and thirdly not attacking it means you don’t get an extra 4/4 next turn. Of course things turned out even worse, but with all of that negative why not?

i thought that only naxx, karazhan, scholomance, basic and classic cards can be played, and the priest used lightbomb and dragonfire potion

I absolutely loathe Wax Rager in this mode. It is about as anti-fun as a card can get. Especially since it's not even toned down like a lot of the less insane treasures are. I can only hope they will actually remove it before the official launch of the mode. I'm perplexed that it made it into beta at all. I can't imagine it's particularly fun after the first game or two to win with it, a lot like that BFF card in that one old Brawl. Almost makes me wonder if they put it in so when they take it out, people will be happy and will gloss over other imbalances. 🤔
