Turks and Caicos 2021 Beaches and Snorkeling (Rays, Sharks, Turtles, Endless Tropical Fish)

Underwater highlights (for the most part) of the Caribbean waters of Turks and Caicos, for Christmas of 2021. After snorkeling around the island every single day, we finally get to see a gorgeous nurse shark out by ourselves beyond Smith's Reef on the last day, a few hours before leaving. Some of the marine life encountered includes: spotted eagle ray, green turtle, hawksbill turtle, southern stingray, horse-eye jacks, queen angelfish, French angelfish, yellowtail snapper, great barracuda, spiny lobster, blue tangs, moray eel, Nassau grouper, and more.

Hi, what did you mean by “beyond Smith Reef”? We just came back from snorkeling in Grand Cayman. Wonder how Turks is compared to GC.

Hi! I just got back from the Turks last week and we saw the same fish @1:04! Do you know what it is?? We were thinking it was a Great Barracuda but unsure as they usually aren't so dark and don't usually hang around the shore (which is where we saw it)!

Yes that’s exactly what it is - we saw that same one by Smith’s Reef on 3 different days. Hope your trip was awesome too and thank you for watching!

Hi, I was wondering what time of the day did you go snorkeling? I would love to see titles and stingray!

Early morning worked best for us! You beat all the boat traffic and you are one of the first people in the water. That’s when we saw the most!
