@@petridis5877 actually first 30 40 plane engines will be imported from Rolly Royce.. Rest of them will be produced by Turkish MKE . They already made a prototype for Cruise missile Jet engine. and we already learned many things from producing F-16 engine. And funny thing is : First prototype will contain 2x F-16 Engine:D Than Rolly Royce engine.. Finally Turkish made.

TF-2000 is another practice target for USA. 1 USS Zumwalt class can destroy 5 TF-2000 class at the same time even the Arleigh Burke class is much better.

To all the Turks commenting against India. India actually has an operational fighter jet program. We actually have a combat worthy jet that we made which is in production. We have the infrastructure to test and build aircrafts in place. Turkey does not. It cost India a fortune and two decades to put large scale wind tunnels, heat chambers, carbon composite manufacturing units and a lot of other stuff in place. Turkey doesnt . If Turkey wants to actually build a flying aeroplane , it has to first do what india has already done. All it took to send the Turkish economy into a downward spiral last year was a nudge from USA. Dont let a plastic and aluminium mockup get you over your heads. India actually has a self developed metamaterial , one of only 4 countries that do. Turkey has to develope such a material as well. India has already put in place an engine program with USA to custom develope a 5th gen engine based on the ge414in , equipped with super cruise, thrust vectoring and 128kn of thrust. The specs and development plans are all in place and the complex infrastructure in India already there. Turkey still doesnt have a final engine plan.

Also India has a Galium nitrate Aesa radar, called uttam radar in final testing phase. It has it's own bvr missile called the astra, already in service and has full unrestricted access to all of Israel's weapons. India has it's own supersonic air launched cruise missile and last week tested for the first time a hypersonic test vehicle. It has home made bunker busters, smart bombs, anti airfield bombs, anti radiation missiles as well. Turkey will have to either buy ALL its Tfx armaments from abroad or spend a decade and billions developing what India already has.

The hardest part is the software. Writing millions of lines of codes and trouble shooting a flight control software it's the worst part of a fighter jet program. India has already done it once with the tejas , which has a full fly by wire flight control and India has it's own home made Heads up display and look to shoot helmet , software coding nightmares.

Turkey is a big and strategically important country but the Ottoman empire was something in the past, it has gone and will never come back. Just like the Roman empire, that will never come back too. Empires come and go in human history. Turkey is now a member of NATO.

It doesnt. This is a plastic and wood model. It will take a decade to fly, if at all. Japan already has a flying prototype. The Mitsubishi ShinShin. India already has a fighter jet program and its 5th gen program has a much more realistic timeframe. The testing infrastructure and aerospace vendor complete ecosystem are already in place. India in all likelihood will be the 5th county to have a flying prototype. 6th could be Turkey or it could be Korea. Turkey presented a mock up of the HurJet in 2017. A relatively simple jet trainer. The deadline for that has been pushed back from 2020 to 2022. Already.

@Great Hun India has a working fighter jet that's in production. Which is more than what Turkey has. India's local tank is not of poor quality. Its failure is a result of a change in indias war doctrine. When the tank was designed it was built on lines of western tanks. With hydropneunatic suspension, the tank became as heavy as any western tank. However by the time the development had finished the Indian army had adopted a cold start doctrine, which required lighter tanks . So because of its weight the army refused to induct them. The tank could have been better but it's good enough. Infact Turkey's own Altay tank is a license built copy of the Korean Black panther tank with lesser sophistication to cut costs. The altay infact weighs more than the Arjun and almost 2 tine more than a T90
