a person cannot know Christ because they think they want to by their own choosing - without His Spirit - they cannot know God and they only have their corrupt - natural mind to use for making decisions and understanding ANYTHING - they CANNOT understand ANYTHING spiritual ( pure / everlasting ) - they can ONLY understand natural ( corrupt / decaying ) things / ideas - - Jesus came to save His sheep who hear His voice - until God saves by His revealing Himself - no one can know Him there is ONLY one way to know Jesus Christ and that is if God chooses to reveal Him - no other way If God reveals Himself - by giving His Holy Spirit - that person is saved forever from the wrath of God against all His enemies that person WILL do all the work which God has intended for them to do
