I'm not sure if I will ever compete in powerlifting because I only started weight training in December but I want to say thank you to all spotters. Without people like you these competitions wouldn't be possible!

That death glare from center spotter was justified. Can't ditch the bar like that.

I don’t get why lifters ditch the bar. It’s a known rule to stay under the bar even if you fail.

It can be a habit from their own training (Definitely dangerous when you have people there to help and you throw the bar back at them.)

If you don’t have spotter, then the safe way to fail is quickly jump forward and ditch the bar

@@lightex833 many people don’t have a pro spotting crew of 4+ people when they train. Just a natural reaction if they dump the weight during their everyday training.

The thing with spotting with lots of people is you need to have a rhythm on how you help the lifter get that weight back in the rack
