Turkish Ottoman Music

Музыка

Classical Turkish music, sometimes known as Ottoman classical music, developed in Istanbul and other major Ottoman cities and towns through the palaces and Sufi lodges of the Ottoman Empire. Above all a vocal music, Ottoman music traditionally accompanies a solo singer with a small instrumental ensemble. In recent times, instruments might include tambur (lute), ney (flute), kemençe (fiddle), keman (Western violin), kanun (zither), or other instruments.
Traditional Music Channel is for everyone who has a passion for music.
Music is an expression of human creativity. UNESCO reports that among all the performing arts, music is the most universal and is found in every society, most often as an integral part of other performing art forms and other domains of intangible cultural heritage.
Traditional forms of music are considered carriers of cultural heritage because they represent expressions and traditions transferred through generations of a community.
With recordings from more than hundred nations our collection of traditional music offers a staggering diversity of our humanity.

Back then people seeing these differences had the courage to recognize them, today some of these nationalists are anatolian Greeks themselves, and they can't handle with the fact that most of their civilization is anatolian and therefore different from Greek proper

Fun fact, the Turkic peoples of Turkey, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan were converted to Islam by the Samanid Persians. The Seljuks became extremely Persianized in their own culture, and their courts (as well as those of the Rum Sultanate and later Ottomans) even spoke Persian. Look at Seljuk and Ottoman rugs, architecture, coins, art, and architecture - it was clearly inspired by those of Iran, even if not always identically so. I work at a Persian restaurant, and my boss (who's also part Azeri) even said that when in Istanbul, she could actually understand bits and pieces from the conversations around her. Azeri has even more Persian influence on its vocabulary than Turkish, since it never underwent "Turkification" of its language by Attatürk (due to Azerbaijan's annexation by the USSR). Salaam khoobe from Texas! And Nowruz Mubarak! ❤🇮🇷

@@Romulan64You have not anything. For one simple example , some nations have own styles of literature . For example : Arabic literature has own styles : Eruz , Ghazal , Diwan , Masnavi , Wasf , Rubai and etc . ... Turkic lierature has own styles : Bayati , Varsaqi , Qoshma , Gozelleme,Gerayli and etc . ... Greek literature has own styles : Novel , Satire and etc. ... Persian literature : Stolen All . Your language also is same . Persian language has only 20 000 words. Grammar is agglutinative as Turkic (indo european languages have flective grammar ). Items have not genders in the your grammar as Turkic languages too(items have genders in the indo european languages). Also 20%(4000words) are turkic words too. And other 40%(8000 words) are arabic ,and also some words are unknown ,very little words are pahlavid words(you say aryan ,indo european and etc... them). For compare , Azerbaijani has 110 000 words. Only 15% are loan words. .... Your language, culture, your everything are product of 1001 different nations - mostly Turkic and Arabic ,therefore name of persian culture is Turko - Islamic or Azerbaijani culture . We built it. If we did not accept Islam,Central asia,Iran and Anatolia would be copy of Siberia.Islam infuelenced us. Tukic culture and Islamic culture built you.

@arifesedov01 Ah, great. A hyper-Turanist revisionist. The ones who claim EVERYTHING in Asia is somehow Turkic even when it isn't... 😑 I never said that Turkic peoples had no unique qualities, man. Turks actually had their own character and greatly influenced Iran post-Islam and Central Asia pre-Islam. For this reason, it's called the "Turko-Persian Tradition". I actually have a lot of respect for Turks for their own unique flavor and character created by the 600-year-long journey from the Siberia hordelands to the Anatolian Peninsula. All I was saying is that Oghuz Turks borrowed a lot from Persian customs in their endeavor to settle down and stop being steppe nomads. But they also GAVE culture back to Persia and Persianized territories as well. I'm sorry if I didn't make that clearer. But seriously, a word to all Turanists: stop claiming today's Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Turkmenistan were "always Turkic" when your ancestors didn't even arrive there until the late 900's AD. Today's Oghuz lands used to be Greek, Caucasian Albanian, Armenian, and Persian until the Seljuks came around. Before that, the only Muslim Turks were Mamluks and some Central Asian peoples allied with the Arabs against the Chinese. And no, the Mongols aren't Turkic, either. You guys are kinda-sorta cousins through conquest and intermarriage, but the Mongols are still their own thing. And same with the Uralic peoples.

@@Romulan64 I am not turanist. You are fanatic paniranist. To give answer to your lies is not to be turanist. ... "Persian" is not available If Persians consider themselves as aryan or indo europeans they should look like northern european people. Aryans and Indo europeans are from Northern europea not middle east, west asia, central asia and etc... Azerbaijan and Turkey look central asia. They have a lot of similarities to central asian turks. If you dont look like northern europea people ,if you have not any similarity to northern european people , if persians look like arabs and other semites from middle east and turks from central asia it is your problem not our problem. Turks ruled persian always. Everybody ruled persians always. Vassal take customs from owner. Owner does not take custom from vassal.

@arifesedov01 By your definition, the peoples of Northern India aren't Aryan either because most of them are "too dark." Get real, man. Autistically-precise skin color isn't the one defining trait of what ethnolinguistic family you belong to, especially considering that light skin is a more recent phenomenon in human history. 🤣 Also, I'm no Pan-Iranist. I'm not even Iranian myself; I'm Texan. I'm just saying that the worlds of both the Iranian and Turkic families are distinct yet greatly intertwined. Both have had their chance to shine and deserve respect for that fact. Also, Turks originate from Siberia and parts of today's Mongolia. FAR, FAR away (to the tune of thousands of miles) from the Iranian peoples, who originated in the North Caucasus and Caspian Sea area. The two didn't have much contact until the late 900's AD with the arrival of the Seljuks in today's Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan - MILLENIA after both had been developed and distinct as people groups. Iranians and Turks were VERY MUCH their own thing by that time. Prior to that, the only interactions they had were in the Steppes of Asia as PROTO-Iranians (Scythians and Sarmatians) and PROTO-Turks (Xiongnu and later Göktürks). Don't twist my words, man. I get it, Turkic and Iranic peoples have a longstanding rivalry. But I hate it when one or the other claims the other has no history and is merely a thief. Both borrowed AND GAVE to one another, and BOTH deserve recognition for their accomplishments and contributions to history.
