Turkish defence industry has made rapid advances in recent decade. I’m delighted to see their impressive progress with regard to their top notch drones in particular. I would like to extend heartfelt felicitation to the people of turkey for achieving this feet and leaving behind tech leaders such as US and china. UVs are the future of warfare and their significance can not be undermined considering that fact that war in Ukraine is mostly being fought with the assistance of these drones. Turkish troop carrier Kirpi's engine is made by Cummins, an American firm. Many of these Turkish products' engines, motors, and electronics are imported from foreign firms. Pakistan wanted to purchase Turkish made helicopters but the U.S. blocked Turkiye from selling those helicopters to Pakistan since the engine was American made and the U.S was boycotting Pakistan.

While that is true, turkey has made some big leap in engine manufacturing as well and its just a matter of 2-3 years before they are independent of US monopoly. They already have tested indigenous engines on gokbey heli's and are progressing swiftly on jet engines as well

Right now, the U.S. and Russia have Erdogan on a tight leash. I don't see that changing anytime soon regardless of whether Türkiye makes a jet engine (invented 80 years ago) or not.

At the beginning of his political carrier, he made a speech where he said "If I ever become rich, you know I have stolen" thus pretty much admitting to his theft years later.
