It is a visual reminder of a DIFFERENT society, not a declining one. The Internet has caused this change by supplying products directly to buyers and cutting out the physical middlemen (other than those which double up as parcel collection points). And foreign food markets are serving a need for our diverse communities, which is surely a good thing.

As a Brit who spends most of the time living in Türkiye, I often use authentic barbers over there. They are usually elderly, very experienced gentlemen who give you the best haircut and facial. That is, provided you can speak enough of the language to be understood. However, when I've used "Turkish Barbers" in the UK, I've found them to be young and usually Kurdish from Iran or Iraq. They don't give the same experience as the genuine article and certainly nothing better than a trained British barber.

Good Morning Steve. Hope you are well. It just beggars belief. What ever happened to our Good Old English Barbers with Barbers Red, White and Blue Striped Barbers pole outside the establishment? All of those places you were telling your viewers about, Not one of those was English. So many Derelict and just forgotten about places that desperately need a lot of Developement and some proper Investing in. I was very Shocked and Upset to see that lamp post with the flowers and football memrobilia wrapped around it. Social Society, is just breaking down and dissapearing in our Towns and Cities. How is it all going to End. Something must be done about this situation.

If they’re just a front, why are they refurbished to such a high standard? The 3 ‘New Blades’ along Whitegate are immaculate, must have cost a fortune. They actually are very good barbers too. How many customers a day does it take to be viable, it’s not like they’re cheap for a haircut.

The illegal drugs market in the U.K. is estimated to be worth in excess of £9.4 Billion a year, but that’s the reported figure so it’s likely to be near double that… And that money has to be laundered somewhere, it’s the U.K’s public that’s funding this.

the councils are complicit in this nightmare, thats why everyone should withhold council tax until they change their ways. councils despise the indigenous population, if you check out how the employment of authorities has exploded over the years, you'll probably be shocked, all you exist for is to have as much money as possible taken from you to pay their salaries.

Hi Stephen, yes our High Street is one road like Central Drive, run down, only 4 English shops left which are the toy shop which is the only one in the county and has been there since the 60`s, there is also a green grocer, butcher and West End DIY, 1 bank left. The rest are the take away shops pizza & kebabs, Chinese nail bars, the new thing is the foreign super market & convenience stores, and then there's the Turkish barbers they seem to be lining them all up and they have taken over, its a front for money laundering, illegal immigrants, black market and drug dealing, most English small businesses are closing because they can't afford the business rates any longer, the barbers are open 7 days a week with hardly no custom, how do they make it pay? do they know how to use scissors? No!, clippers for them is the way, personally no I wouldn't use them again, you ask for a short, back and sides and you come out with the same cut as everyone else, cash only would you believe it!, Stephen thank you my friend, thumbs up,....we're on our way to Blackpool for this weekend, we're going to do it again, it would be great to see you again, thanks again!!

Hi Stephen, I realise this video is about the various shops on Central dive but a word about the knife bin. I have used it to safely dispose of old kitchen knives when I replaced them. I also wrapped them in a note with my name and phone number. It seemed a safer way of getting rid of them than just putting them in the household rubbish, after all I didn't know who would get hold of them at the recycling plant. The note was so they would know they hadn't been used in a crime.

In our local town (20000 pop) we went from 4 Barbers in 2019 to 12 now and the prices went up by about 50% very little competition but some of the ones that were there in 2019 are much quieter.
