Great video! I'm from New York but living the last 30 years in Vietnam. In September 2019 I joined a tour from Saigon to Istanbul and 9 days around Turkey. I was hesitant at first since the flight was 11 hours in economy. But oh so worth it! I absolutely loved Turkey and the flight was as good as could possibly be for 11 hours in economy. Our tour included everything from A-Z. I simply can't say enough good about how fascinating and at least for me and my wife how friendly everyone was. And I loved the food. Everything!

Thanks for watching! Turkey was amazing and I was really overwhelmed by the culture and how much history there is. I flew 10 hours in Economy with Turkish Airlines back in March and that was a great flight too. Well, except for the 8 year old that kicked me for 6 hours straight 😂. Stay well my friend!

Was looking to travel to Toronto in business class mid November, as my first economy flight from Toronto to Istanbul was really bad. The food was so cold and end up getting bloated. Thanks for telling that they are still serving cold food even in business.

Your videos are certainly much better overall than other more popular (as well as much more irritating) vloggers that seem to have far more subscribers than they deserve. Your video quality is good, the camera is not focused on you, you're not talking throughout the flight with complete disregard to other passengers around you, and you're not constantly complaining and whining whilst perched on a soap box. Basically, thank you for not being Josh Cahill, Nonstop Dan, Sam Chui and other ego-centric narcissists.

I hope they'll bend some rules and maybe make the catering as it should be. I think we'll just have to wait. It varies depending on the global situation. Other than that Turkish Airlines is actually a great airline.

Hello again !!!! As you know Turkish Airlines has start hot services for Bussines class in 01-03-2021, hot meal and hot drink back for economy class now ( long haul Economy class hot services will start in 19-03-2021 ) ( BC hot content services will be porcelain and glass as you wish ) ) Economy class menu cards are back also :) ..... And hot services will start for business class over 2 hours flights (19-03-2021 )

Great report, mate! I have a question. What are the measures at Turkey when you arrive there from the United States? Are there still mandatory COVID tests on arrival in Istanbul from the US?

Thanks for watching! All you had to do was fill out a small form and get a temperature check. It was all really easy, no COVID tests or anything like that.

I think I'll stick with Lufthansa or SWISS when crossing the Atlantic in business class. Their catering is much better and closer to what they serve during normal times.

Hmm well the new Turkish Businesses Class seat is definitely better than Lufthansa’s. I’d definitely take bad food over a 2-2-2 seat configuration.

Well, I just flew to Turkey last week on Economy and your meal is not far from what I had. I had the same "boxed" meal but in a red box without salad. Total disappointment. When I flew back, I was so glad I flew with United going thru Frankfurt. United's food wasn't in a box and so much better with choice of drinks.

Awesome Review ! Qatar Airways has been serving hot meals in all classes aince the pandemic began. Surely heat kills possible germs ? Indeed the Turkish Airlines adjusted catering is not as it is in normal times. But it is still substantial nonetheless.

Thanks for the comment! A lot of airlines have been serving hot meals, like the United MAX flight I took from Denver to Houston. I think it might just be more cost cutting from TK, but I have heard that they’re going to start serving warm meals again.

That’s so sad Will be flying with them soon from Jakarta to Zurich, so sad will not get proper mean on business class I guess I have to bring my own meal from home

I rather them cut some services instead of cutting jobs like a few airlines in the west.

The catering in Business class is real let down.. I wonder how much TK is actually saving vs losing their brand image for Business

Yes qatar and emirates are still serving regular hot meals. Not sure about etihad. Lots of bloggers are complaining about turkish airlines inflight services especially food. Hot food has nothing to do with covid

Service hasn’t changed since my flight in September. That’s why I’ve been flying with Etihad since.

Traveling with Turkish in three months, booked with them because of the amazing catering but now I feel kind of cheated, it looks like a snack box for the main course and even sadder for breakfast, also no longer amenity kit is in economy is provided, it feels that they're using the pandemic as an excuse to reduce the quality of service, disappointing; hope they are able to fix it for my flight moment.

Well turkish airlines serves hot food in business class (only long haul for now) from the end of November, I guess you travelled before that. Not as good as it were before pandemic, but much better than cold food.

that's cheap excuse ......if you pay ticket food is inclusive they have to serve .. .all other airlines in pandemic served inklusive hot food for economy so...turkish airlines sucks !

shame for the poor catering service. It was their best feature.

Dude, come on. The food was terrible? lol...You 1st class people are so funny. Your nit picking meaningless things like where the usb charger is located etc... There is no way one human needs that much crap to fly from 1 place to another lmfao. Much less complain about anything in that 1st class seat gtfoh. The arm rest was a little uncomfortable, the foot well was a bit narrow? lol

Is it necessary? No. But when you pay 3x or 4x the price of an Economy ticket you expect the experience to be worth it. Fortunately I don’t live in a communist dictatorship lol. So when deciding where to expend my hard earned capital things like the quality of the food and seat comfort are very important... I mean why would you spend a lot of money on a flight that has bad food/seating arrangements when you could fly on a different airline that has good food and comfortable seats?
