If you OWN the land, YOU have to sell it. Sounds like the family cashed out -- don't blame it on the "habitat destroyer" purchaser. Going further, if you sell to someone who is developing the land, aren't you just as responsible for "destroying habitat"? No one is stealing the land from the family....

I just turned 60 years old, and I have seen things come and go. Mark my words, the over-development of our wild places, farmlands, woodlands, fields, and wetlands will be the undoing of the country. I have seen the chipping away of natural habitat, and what it has done to not only the wildlife, but also how it has degraded the adjacent communities. None the less it continues. Anyhow congratulations on a super nice gobbler, and beautifully documented hunt. You do a masterful job on your videos, and I was happy to finally meet you at the NWTF convention in Nashville.

Congrats on a creating a new fantastic memory. Ive been watching the THP videos for awhile now and living vicariously through them with regard to turkey hunting. Why? Well, between back and knee issues, and my age, I just can't walk those miles like I use to. And I really did chase those birds! I was blessed, too, with an area to hunt the last 15 to 20 years that had a number of double and even triple bearded birds. While I too thought my personal best would be my last - it had two bushy beards totaling almost 19 inches - I actually went the last time three seasons ago and filled my two Tags here in Illinois on two of my most memorable hunts. The first was the longest I ever worked a single bird at over four hours. The second was memorable that from the time I sat down about five minutes after I got out of the Jeep to call, to the the time I harvested the bird, was four minutes. One great season!!! Again, congratulations!

Jezz what a shot and what a trophy. Great video as usual Greg. I just tagged my second longbeard in Tennessee this morning. Hunted Saturday and killed a big tom who ran into my decoys. Went this morning and watched him strutt and gobled from 100 yards. 11 inch beard and inch and a half needle sharp spurs. I had a heart attack in January and I am fortunate to have a season like I have had on a 70 acre farm that I’ve hunted for forty years.
