For years I’ve heard people say “Alabama, Mississippi, and Georgia have the toughest turkeys.” Welcome to South Carolina.

What pat of south carolina?
I’m glad you guys can show how hard it is for us Carolinians out here
Finally some light in carolina turkey hunting. wayy more hunters than turkeys and poor land management makes public land turkey hunting very hard here.
This is the ground grew up hunting and still do. This area is some of the toughest hunting you'll find. Deer hunting it is more challenging than the turkey hunting is.
Welcome to South Carolina! Home to the smartest birds on Earth, and not just in the upstate. Even the NWTF said "Bye fellers, we're going to Missouri because these birds are too hard to kill."
Pookie wake up, THP is getting their ass whipped in our state.

Yeah really, I'm not going with that many people ever. 3 feels like too many
Harvested my 2nd bird this evening in South Carolina. It was the best turkey hunt of my life so far. Cool to see y’all hunting my state! I’m gonna try to call a bird in for my mom through out the weekend. Best of luck to y’all!
It has been a windy week in Kentucky. Youth weekend opens tomorrow. Below freezing temps in the morning, but supposed to get warmer and plenty of sunshine.
Including the pee fart was a prime editorial decision

Which one? There was 2🤣
Best cheap skunk defense, get the bigger container of cayenne powder at the store and put a nice helping of powder anywhere you want a barrier, I typically do it around my trash cans/area. Doesn’t last more than a day or two but should work for short term camping
I am a man of constant sorrow I’ve not seen turkeys all my days
Made my day to see y'all finally came to my state. Hope y'all have some luck.
Turkey hunting on public land in upstate SC in the toughest birds in the entire country. No question about it.
Does anyone have a 2024 Turkey Tour fart counter started yet?

Hubby and I have been following THP for a long time but this tour with the farting is getting real old and childish - who's doing the editing?
Public land is tough in the Carolinas! Im 63, killed over 80 birds, and I have found that in similar terrain, best bet is to not waste time up high...Yes they lots time roost high, but at flydown make there ways down in the bottom hollers and bowls where its quiet and safe....Was in west TN on public once, and after chasing for two days realized just that...Flew down every time and went low! Keep plugging!
You guys should come down too Manchester state forest next season it’s in the middle of sc
been watching y’all many years glad to see yall come to my state turkeys are our hardest game to kill here seems to me yall are in the upstate of sc

If you haven’t already, check out “The Colonel & The Fox” Mossy Oak documentary - it should make you feel better about striking out for a few seasons straight. 👍🏻 Encouragement from a beat up turkey hunter in West Georgia
I like these boys. These are some pretty good boys.
Cool video, I’m still trying to get a SC longbeard myself 👍👍
If you guys come to Michigan for turkey hunting, I would love to host y’all! My family has a cabin on 20 acres that lines up with the national forest. You are more than welcome! Last year was my first year Turkey hunting and had a blast. I’m hoping this year I will get my first 😊
I like to walk around in orange during turkey season, but I like to also bring two cymbals to clang together while I am randomly walking around turkey hunting. I used to strap on a bass drum, but as I got older, I realized the cymbals are much lighter and also louder. WTF is that guy doing!?!

yeah you have a couple spots when someone isn't there first. Guess he was trying to protect the gobblers he been calling to for 2 months before the season.

I brought along a device that I jokingly call my hollering can once when a buddy and I went to do some preseason locating. It is an old metal coffee can with a string ran through a hole in the bottom of the can. There are knots tied at the end so the string can't pull out of it. I use a glove dusted with powdered pine resin and pull my hand along the string. It makes the most god awful roaring noise ever. We had tried everything we knew of to get a gobble that morning with no success. My buddy says "hell, git that hollering can out and try that, ain't nothing else got em going". So I did. By the second stroke on that thing EVERYTHING in those woods went absolutely silent. He says "HELLFIRE AND JEZUS! You even made the crickets shut up"! He wasn't wrong. There were 2 old men out on the main Forrest Service Road listening when we went in the road we were on. We heard them fire their truck and leave out of there like they were running a rally car race! To this day I still LMAO every time I think about that. I still have that can, but I sure as hell ain't never tried using it for a locater call again.🤣🤣🤣🤣
That was so cool to see a bear I hope y’all don’t get skunked on the next hunt 😂 great video
Fun fact the longest recorded fart is 2:48 the stuff you find surfing the web while in your stand can be an interesting topic when you’re hunting!😂😂
Zach looking all like my next door neighbors Aunt. 😅
Those glasses are legendary
this year it seems like there is a lot more screwing around, i like the more serious Zach
Keep throwing out those testers and you’re gonna fail one, Zach 😂
I’m thinking there’s a tshirt idea with the whole “farm turkey”. 😂
Stop by the Walhalla state fish hatchery before y’all leave the area.
another excellent video! just out of curiousity how many miles do you put on your truck a year yack?
They say there’s no such thing as a “call shy “ 🦃. I believe it’s true. Same thing has happened to me last couple of days. No gobbling. Walk n call, listen & watch , then move again and putt putt putt, they gone.

It’s been brutal. I got lucky where a bird was roosted Thursday morning and was able to slip within 70.
Is there anyway you guys could sell just the seat of the m2 vest as another accessory? I’m trying to find a nice padded seat for the alps impact vest I’ve been running and can’t seem to find anything quality….
Lucky! That must be a "compassionate skunk." Can't believe you were that close, hollered and didn't startle it into spraying. Starting to think your camp was involuntarily signed up for the SC "adopt a skunk" program.
Slim pickens in that area, time to move on. Reminds me of public land here in Florida...lol 😂😅
Zach's just cuttin em up!!
Can't wait for tomorrow youth season in mo
Yeah I live in SC and the turkeys are tough to kill! Also lucky that you found land to hunt, especially if it was public land, cause we don’t have much of that.

There is plenty of good public land in South Carolina. You got to get away from the roads. The farther you go back the better the hunting for turkey or deer. Never had a problem getting gobblers and a good deer for the freezer. The coyotes have put a hurting on them too.

I can’t believe Zach cut his hair. 😂
Thesis: If cheese is cut in the woods, do turkeys smell it?
Does Zack look like Lord Farquaad from Shrek minus the glasses. Great movie. 😊

Getting kind of bored watching you guys drive around and call from the road. It does save a lot of gobblers for those of us that like to hike though. Carry on 😁
I'm starting to notice a pattern here. When ever you record farts, you don't see shit 😊
Zach just cracks me up man. 2 farts
This video is giving me the Turkey farts
I’m be honest as a south carolinian the birds here are the most stubborn hard to kill birds ever.
Hayden’s GoPro gives him a bit of a predator vibe. 😅
Here in south carolina the best turkey call is a bag of feed wheat from rogers seed 😂
i think hunting turkeys with 5 guys would be pretty difficult and when they are not gobbling near impossible. Just too many people.

Just cuz it's not required to wear orange doesn't mean all hunters aren't gonna, the guy probably feels more comfortable and safe wearing orange ive heard plenty of instances where hunters we're shot during spring turkey season, but yavhe will stick outcbig time to a turkey, there not color blind like deer are
The clowning and ‘farting’ around is moderately amusing on occasion…but when it’s coupled with back-to-back Nothing Burger episodes…it begins to feel like a wasted 20 minutes that you can’t get back. Ol’ “Curl” looks irritated most of the time…Hayden tries…Zach carries the episode…Looking forward to Warb, Ted, Jake and Greg to get the true THP chemistry back. This episode and the last were far from entertaining or educational. When the most exciting moment is a skunk coming to camp…probably want to rethink posting OR simply drop it in as a Short. Long time subscriber…huge fan of the channel and podcasts…just seems like the past two episodes weren’t the usual quality of work.

Take a load off Barry. Imagine if they only showed the successful hunts, all the comments would be the same. They’re showing what actually happens in hunting, especially turkey hunting in SC, if you want the one where they kill birds they literally put it in the thumbnail

@@roqy9247I’m not being a hater. I’m a true fan. And I’ve been hunting for close to 50 years and am well-aware of “how it goes”. Whether in PA, SC or AK…some days/weeks are tough and others bountiful. Zach mentioned himself that the episode was going to be less than great. Appreciate your concern for the guys…I respect and enjoy their product too, as well as respect big my fellow hunters. We’ve gotta stick together. God Bless.
