100k congrats. Another thought on storing mouth calls in the off season and during I rinse mine in some cold tap water then let them dry and I put them in a cleaned out 8oz sour cream container.

For even more raspyness on a slate call position your striker so that it's running across the grain of the tip. I mark my strikers with a sharpie so I don't have to look for the right grain every time I use it. This helps you improve consistency and gain confidence using a slate or any other type of pot call.

I was just about to message you guys on this very topic. A couple years ago, I popped last years mouth call in to practice a bit more, and got the worst sort of virus I've ever had. So you don't use any sort of disinfectant or anything like that for long term storage after the season? Also, how do the pot calls (glass or slate) hold up to rain? Thanks for the awesome content!
