@@danzoom no they were definetly not There are no surviving mongol words in their language but the surviving words are proto turkic (and for the white huns later iranic) And the mongols have mostly not migrated to mongolia at that time but were in siberia

Huns and Uighurs are also Turkish, Just evolved into different nations, like European Huns evolved to Hungarians and Bulgarians but than they lost in Slavs and lost their national characteristics. There are lots of similar words in Hungarian and Turkish.

Magyars did migrate in Hungary in 9-10 century and they are Finno-Ugrian. Uralic language. Hungary had many different peoples. The oldesr were the Celtic, then Illyrians 400 BC. Then Romans did conquest it. The Huns ( Turkic) came in 4 cantury and mixed with these peoples and also with Slavs. Also Pechenegs and Avars. So today Hungarians have very mixed blood. Language is Uralic. Yes they have some Turkic words like Turkish has many Arabic or Persian words. But Magyar language is not similar with Turkish at all.

yes the proto-Bulgars were Turkic. But Bulgaria had many different peoples aswell. The oldest people were Thracians, they got hellenised by Greeks. Then Romans took it. Then Byzantins then Bulgars came in 8 century and ruled the state and then Slavic language became dominant because Slavic people came in Bulgaria aswell. Then Ottomans also. So in conclusion Bulgarians are mixed too. A mix of Thracians ( Paleo Balkan) of Greeks/Romans and Turkic and also Slavs. Calling Bulgarians Turkic just because the word is Turkic is like calling Azerbaijanis to Persians just because the word Azerbaycan is Persian word..

Which had its first steps in the 11th century where the Turkish tribes stayed in Anatolia, which, for those who don't know, was under the control of the Byzantine Empire. But the story really began when the legendary Osman I, in 1299, who conquered the lands of their former controllers, and declared the Ottoman Empire.from there, they were only victory, conquered Constantinople and brutally exterminated the last Roman descendants in 1453, conquered the Caucasus, regions of Persia, the Red Sea, hellas, Moldavia, Wallachia, killed the impaling impaler Vlad III and almost conquered Vienna,it seemed that this empire would last forever. but as we all know, nothing lasts forever, the ottoman empire as well as the roman empire, began to slowly weaken, when it was not conflicts with countries, it was internal conflicts, loss of territories and vassals like Egypt, Wallachia and Moldavia that transformed in Romania for example, marked the determined end of the Ottoman empire. but the end really came when they were brutally massacred in the Great War, and declared the Republic of Turkey in 1923. where this empire was born in the hand of just one guy, and after 600 years, it was destroyed in the hand of just one guy.

​@@lacklandstudios Well, they were multi-ethnic group actually. Some of them Persians, some of them Mongols etc. But they were mostly Turkic tribes. It can be proven if you glance their emperors, cultures, names and physical apperances. But of course it's difficult due to lack of information. Also Hunnish that spoken by Huns' a branch invading Europe linked with Hiung-nu language. We know that Hiung-nu language is an Altaic language. It probably means that both Huns certainly related to Turks. Of course they weren't completely Turks or another ethnic nation. But it's definite that a link is exist.

map is WRONG AF. the ottomans lost their european territories with 3 important wars. great turkish war (1683-1699), great russo-turkish war (1877-1878) and first balkan wars (1912). in 1800s, the ottomans have still controlled nearly all of balkans. and european ottomans were even WAY bigger before 1683.
