Turbo Tom | 1st Place Single Buck Squamish Logger Days 2022
This is my 1st place Single Buck cut from the 2022 Squamish Logger Days Festival. It takes place in Squamish, BC during the first weekend in August. It was 22” Douglas Fir, which makes it one of the toughest Single Buck competitions in North America. Not only is it 22 inches, but it’s hardwood. Normally at competitions with wood that big it’s softwood like pine or cottonwood.

Very impressive! I have developed an affinity for crosscut saws in the last few years. Tools of a far more elegant nature than any kind of powered saw that efficiently transform and transmit muscle power directly into cutting power. I can't think of any other finer display of prowess and ability that doesn't include wanton violence.
