OK, got mine a few days ago and finally got it out, mounted it up and used it for about an hour or so. I have the burr discs and actually took one off of the angle grinder and mounted the turbo scraper.Well all in all it was a very positive experience. I had a bowl that I had carved and used it to do the final carving before sanding.I used the arbortech sander and my time was cut by two thirds by using the turbo scraper instead of the burr disc.I am very satisfied with the results of the product and the learning curve was very short due to me owning most of the arbortech angle grinder mounted products so I knew how to use it pretty much right out of the box.The best part was the light touch I was able to use when removing bumps and carving marks PLUS you can see through it so your work is always there for you to see.I have always had a tendency to go too deep in the final carving of a piece when the wood gets thin. This product will help you from blowing through that last 1/4 inch or so.I am very satisfied and cannot wait to make some spoons with it. GOOD ON YA MATE,well done!!!!

A friend of mine got his today and noted that it is extremely important to have the guard installed. A slip could cause damage to the finger.

Will there be a smaller version for the mini grinder? Mini grinder needs more blade options!

Wouldn't an orbital sander achieve the same results? Edges are finished better with a router. Aside from notching or carving, there doesn't seem to be any more advantages.

Hi there! The TURBO Scraper is more than just a finishing tool; we like to use it for a variety of projects, and it is perfect for beginners. The TURBO Scraper is slower at removing timber compared to the TURBO Plane and Industrial Woodcarver. You can adjust the pressure to carve as much or as little as you prefer and easily remove any burn marks. Its profile suits wide curves, making it ideal for chair seats and spoon makers, especially when used vertically. Perfect for shaping both internal and external profiles swiftly and accurately, it's highly beneficial for high-end furniture and instrument makers. Hope this helps!
