Never stop showing your emotions. That's the problem with the world today, no one shows good emotions anymore. Tuomas and the rest of Nightwish all have side projects that gets to me. "While Your Lips are Still Red" is one that ALWAYS gets me. I want to see the movie that Marko and Tuomas wrote it for, but it's next to impossible to find it here. Whether it's drama, or health, or whatever, don't be ashamed to show it. It took me almost dying a couple of times (I thought my health wasn't that bad, but NEWSFLASH: I was in that bad of shape) before I finally swallowed my pride. A ruptured gallbladder and a tumor in my head was apparently a big deal. I'm better now because I let people help me. It's okay to feel!

I had a tiring day at work, and quite sad. At the end of the working day, I "broke" my last 20 minutes to see your reaction. It touched me deeply. I was sitting in front of the PC with my headphones on and trying not to show my emotions to my colleagues, who had no idea what I was feeling at the time. Now, in the evening, I mustered up the courage and looked again. You are both precious 💖

Somehow, you two always capture the emotions that Tuomas's compositions bring out in all of us. This song is so lovely and yet haunting, especially with Johanna's magical voice layered over the top of the piano and orchestra. Both women in the video are named Johanna. Even though it is about the magical adventure of a life well lived, it carries the weight of sadness that is about approaching our journey's end. To be rich is to seek, to relive a memory. The older man is Don Rosa, the legendary cartoonist who created the Scrooge McDuck comic books... one of Tuomas's heroes. Tuomas wanted to create an album that captured the travels and adventures of Scrooge McDuck and he asked Don Rosa if he would do the artwork for the cover. Don told him that he had been retired for quite some time and wasn't sure he could do justice to the project. But when he finally agreed, Tuomas flew him to where he was recording with the orchestra and the cover came out great along with the footage. I love watching the two of you react to Nightwish. Keep them coming.

Yes, that's Tuomas' wife, Johanna Kurkela, singing along with Finnish singer Johanna Iivanainen. Troy Donockley and the second Johanna's husband, Mikko, also play on this album. The man you asked about is Don Rosa, a comic book writer and illustrator who wrote The Life and Times of Scroodge McDuck, which this album is based on. Try also ,The Last Sled, from this record. Tuomas and his wife, along with Troy have a band called Auri, try Pearl Diving from that.

Many people get goosebumps when the music touches the heart. I tear up.

It took Tuomas 15 years to make this album happen, from initial idea in 1999 to completion in 2014. He produced the album and paid for it. Then he asked Nuclear Blast Records if they might want to release the album. They said yes without even listening the album first. They wanted to have a video of one of the songs. Tuomas agreed agains his initial thought. This song was an easy choise for the video, because it has a normal structure. This song is my favorite on this album, and definitely belongs to my The Best of Tuomas compilation, but Tuomas has other favorites, "The Last Sled" and another one that I can not remember. Tuomas knew this album was a mariginal project. He was right, and it is a shame. Like one of the comments says: "If only more people knew about Tuomas!" On another comment a guy, from Sweden I think, said: "Tuomas, without you I would never have started to play the piano, now I have recorded 4 albums." Don Rosa was promoting his work in Finland, Tuomas went and introduced himself to Don Rosa and told him about his idea. Don Rosa knew nothing about Tuomas or Nightwish, and he thought he would propwbly never hear from Tuomas again. A couple of years later Tuomas contacted Don Rosa and told him the recording of the album is going on in London. "Tuomas Holopainen and Don Rosa interviewed by Radio Nova", parts 1&2, only minutes altogether. They praise each other, and it is funny, because they are both so humble, they just can not take praise without blushing. Don Rosa said he was crying when he was listening to the demo version Tuomas gave him. They had a signing event together in Finland, Tampere I think, and it lasted for 7,5 hours. Beautiful song, beutiful, delicate vocals by Johanna, beautiful lyrics. In this video the lyrics are full of errors, clearly done by ear. Johannas voice just makes u cry. Ive seen her live twice and cried everytime. She is like fairyprincess. She is one of my favorite singers ever. Her christmasalbum just makes me cry sometimes of happiness and sometimes of sadness. She sounds like this live also. She hasnt been touring for a while now but Hope to see her someday again Loved ur reaction and all the best from Finland ❤️

Nightwish helped me to access my inner emotions. This song is perfect with the two Johanna's singing. We all cry, but to cry because of beauty is an emotional release we all need. A good cleansing of the tear ducts is good for the soul.

This whole record was a tribute to the amazing illustrations of Don Rosa. This is actually a happy song, but still has a melancholy undertone. This is because it is about the story of Scrooge combined with Tuomas yearning for his childhood memories. So touching to see how your facial emotions showed such loving concern for how Andrei was reacting to this beautiful composition from the Master. Johanna has such a beautiful and delicate voice. The artist is Don Rosa one of the cartoonists fro Disney's Scrooge McDuck comics. He created these amazing books that detail the life of Scrooge before he became the wealthy duck that he is known for. Amazing that a song about one thing can mean something entirely different to someone else. I sense that that has happened here your personal journey has coloured the music in a different way. Johanna, Tuomas' wife has a very ethereal voice and he has used it beautifully both in this project and in their Auri project.

Many solo albums, collaborations such as Altamullan Road, the band Auri (2 albums, with Tuomas and Troy, highly recommend both) and most recently one album with Eye of Melian which is a masterpiece. Toumas is the master of emotions! The music alone is enough to make a person emotional, and when the beautiful lyrics are added it awakens something inside us. I too feel sad when listening, but somehow encouraged at the same time. The freedom of an open road can be quite intimidating when we don't have our future all planned out, but we can also embrace that freedom and trust in ourselves. I think we all need to make sure that we do things that will make memories, so that as we near the end, we will be rich to relive them. Tuomas is so full of music that he has to express himself in 3 completely different bands simultaneously. What is even more ridiculous, he made this album about Scrooge McDuck, with an orchestra, while being "creatively empty" with next Nightwish album. It's a tragedy that more people doesn't know Tuomas even exists.

The man is not his father...he is Don Rosa the famous illustrator of Disney Ducks and stories...who was invited by Tuomas to make this work and drawing for this video. Tuomas organized this all and he is a big fan of Don...and values him so high. Tuomas is a fan of Disney Ducks in general and he wanted to put the story of Scrooge Mac Duck into an album. The other girl is also Johanna like her wife and the guitarist is a husband to the other Johanna.

You're such a lovely couple with your hearts in the right place and that's what touches us. And in this time we are blessed with Tuomas as a music writer, as he prefers to call himself. And he is (and we are) so lucky he has two lovely women who can express his music with their voices so beautifully.
