Great info. My recommendation also… use an external digital crossover on a headunit or dsp as a processor. Set the high pass all the way counter clock wise (all the way down) and set the low pass filter all the way clockwise (all the way up) that will essentially “bypass” the crossovers as much as possible and let an external device do the work. If that one little potentiometer goes from 10hz to 1khz that will be VERY sensitive to even the smallest movement so I would almost say an external processor is essential in this situation

Let's say your ported enclosure is tuned to 35hz, now how in the world are you going to set your subsonic filter at 30hz when a *little tiny* turn of the knob takes your high pass/subsonic from 10hz to 100hz? The answer is you will not. Its literally impossible without using specialized test equipment. And on top of that you have still yet to explain yourself for misquoting me in the first place.. i said "my recommendation" not "this is required"

I just installed an AUNA 1600 watt 10" twin sub with a sundown sfb 1000D amp. This tutorial was a massive help. I am new to the car audio camp. I have a rover 75 1.8 se, 22 years old and a lovely car. However, the stock stereo was a bit past it and I wanted something with a bit more power. It's an eclectic set up, stock rear door speakers, pioneer front door speakers, focal tweeters, sundown amp, and AUNA sub. Eventually I wanna get a full set of Focal speakers. Just one question though, I wired the sub up to the amp, far left negative, to the inner positive, and the inner negative to the far right positive, is this correct for a twin sub?

Just bought the sundown sia 3500 to power my 10" sundown zv6. Where should I have the amp set?

just little confuse about crossover section. half bridge monoblock using dB per octave roll off. example : '-12db/octave'. but for alot full bridge monoblock use '8a' typical. example : '-12db/8a'. what is a 8a??

I have sundown sfb amps , what’s the perfect voltage for the gains for max clean power without clipping? My sub amp is a 5000watt sfb an I have the subsonic tuned for 30hz an the other low crossover turned all the way down to 80hz with the gain at halfway. With the bass boost turned all the way down. An the bass knob goes to half way an with the radio half volume my bass knob starts clipping. The sun is a sundown nightshade v5 18in . Just trying to get the most out of my amp without clipping . Any chance U could test the salt 1700.5 to see what the true power out put is on that amp it f***ing rails with my 2 sav2 12 and my hurtz Mille pro I had to upgrade my alternator to a exclusive amperage 390 amp alternator and a Dura last platinum AGM battery just to Supply enough power to run that amp with out flashing my led headlights

I have the SFB 3k and I would say compared to other amplifiers I have owned in this price range the SFB has average efficiency. The fan bearings are almost shot though. That little fan didn't make it 3 months before it started making noise.

Whats with the input and output RCA?

My sfb5000 sounds weak with bass boost off, and I'm running a Kenwood 1057xr. I'm running 4 American bass 8hd's wired to one ohm, and I thought this amp would be too strong. I have an indash epicenter with the restoration off. I'm gonna try running the rca's straight to the head unit and take the epicenter out of the equation.

My head unit was lacking on output. I bought the Skar 7 band equalizer, $46, and use it as a line driver. Barely touched the gain on the amp. No bass boost. Also I thought you set the subsonic based on what your box is tuned to.

Much higher quality components on the entire amp. The output side is massively over built for stability. Gets rated power at 12v. Might be able to go lower than 1 ohm if your electrical is strong. Lots of differences. I love my SIA 3500 though.

I have a salt 1700.5 and 2 sundown audio SAv2 12s in a down for Sound prefab box With an exclusive amperage 390 amp alternator zero gauge wire AGM battery and hurtz Millie pros component up front and coaxial in the rear in my 2018 Kia Forte using the Kia factory head unit with a 4 channel line out converter and I want to know how to set my gain subsonic low pass bass boost because I just can’t get my subs to sound just right

I'm having the same issue. Went from 2 Skar subs with a TS Power cheap amp. Put in two Sundown SA 12s and a SAE 2000.d amp and I was expecting a lot and my old stuff sounds better. I can't tune this amp to sound worth a crap. Idk?! Frustrating

Get a real radio for starters.

My sia 3500 would turn itself on and off for about 5 min whenever I turned it on and then it would stay in protect, any idea of what’s wrong with it?

Check your ground. My sia needed a better ground after upgrading from a previous amp

The only thing I don't like about the sia line is the low input voltage protection. On a stock headunit. That can cause a problem.

Good to see you putting out content again. In my opinion & experience the sfb is no good. Even for the price. I exchanged one noisy one for one that popped in a hair under a month wired at 4 ohms. Can't say anything bout the sai, haven't owned one but I definitely don't recommend any of the sfb line. And that's a shame cause I was a big fan of sundown. I digress keep putting out content bro. SIA are Smart amps. SFB are full range.

When using the bass knob does it override the amplifiers gain?? Or is the knobs adjustment the level control?

You can use crossovers on any equipment but if you use on multiple equipments at same time, it'll increase the rate of octave db's it's working at (like 12 + 12 = 24db)

10% of RMS rating. So 125amp technically. I would use a 150 amp breaker

Ya need to mention that they need a extra lithium battery.my buddy i sold him a taramps he called me said its junk.he said my rockford 1200 sounds louder.i told him he wasnt supplying enough current to make any power.😂

Ok well what I think is when I called in thinking my amp was broken... why didn't anybody there tell me either about this video, or say something about the crossover before I sent it in and then you guys charged me over 60 bucks to send mine back and it took days to get it. If it's a common problem!! Where's the customer service? And my amp never came with a owners Manuel like everybody else gets??? And then I ask for one and you guys can't even send me one...I had a shifty time dealing with sundown very disappointed. Especially considering how often customers are having this problem! SUCKS MAN

Those amps are ok but the design is just eh. They require more tuning and are more sensitive . Better off just going half bridge amplifiers. Full bridge has to many issues in general.
