My son and I are both Hoyt guys. He's shooting the RX7 Carbon ultra in a 34" and I'm shooting the Alpha X 30. My draw weight is a tad over seventy pounds and his is above 80. Great content!

Just asking . You moved both cams in the same direction, wouldn’t moving the rest do the same thing?

You absolutely could. We like to keep center shot true if at all possible. We feel we achieve better arrow flight at long range that way.

Thanks for the video. On my VTM, 13/16" center shot seems incredibly far out, with arrow definitely not parallel to riser. Just curious if you find that a common occurrence if you set the Hoyt to 13/16. Mine is set about at 14/16 and I am getting a very minor point left, nock right. Both cams shimmed with large black on left, small black on right. Would love your thoughts.

Every Hoyt I’ve ever had 13/16 has been perfect center shot. Don’t think I’ve ever seen it not be parallel with the riser. Move yours to 13/16. That’ll bring your point back to the right. If it’s not perfect then switch both your shims. The set up your explaining indicates point left if the arrow spine is correct

Well, what I tried did not work so I am going your route. Pushed the rest out so center shot at the Berger hole to middle of arrow is 13/16”. Swapped thick black shims/thin black shims so thick is on the right. Running a arrow banded to riser for parallel indicator, my arrow definitely works its way left towards the point. Will shoot it tomorrow and see what happens. Thanks!

One final update and then I will leave you alone. Again, thanks for responding. Pushed the rest all the way out to 13/16 like you suggested. Flipped the shims and that did not work. Flipped the shims back (cams pushed to right), big/thin black) and wowza, near bullet holes with both fletched and bareshaft. Thanks!!
