    Good video, Josh. I prefer shorter videos, only because of the time factor. Knowing the tendencies of my R-13, which sound similar to yours, once my instrument warms up, I pull the barrel out and also slightly open up between the two joints to bring the C and D down in pitch. When tuning a band, it's always a challenge to get the C down to 440. I think for a beginner, the idea of micro-tuning all the notes and then making adjustments while performing might feel overwhelming. My approach to not obsessing over this is to use my tuner once I've warmed the instrument up and spend a little time (emphasis on a little) and find that sweet spot of good tone and intonation. This is how I build up the muscle memory so that when I play in groups, I try to adjust to what I am hearing around me and I think the mind has a great capacity to make those internal adjustments as you listen to the players around you. Sorry to be long-winded.
