Hey Josh. Got my tuning done from Vannest performance just like you. James is awesome and got my tuning done the same day and all I can say is wow. Truck HAULS ASS! Stock transmission doesn't like it but still amazing. Cool dude my age, knows his shit. Explained to me what he did and if I had any question or needed revisions they are all free! Thanks for referring him. PS the single event tune he hooked me up with is niiiiiiiiiiiiccccccccccccceeeeeeeee :).

Love all your videos and it really helped when rebuilding my trans. Got all the parts from sunco and borg and now have a trans that should be good to 1000 hp but since it's only a tow rig it should be fine plan on compound turbos later but for now an mm3 works to boost it for the heavy loads behind it topping out at 45k total just a bit on the heavy side but these things tow like champs not issues 125k on the clock all stock except cold air mbrp 5" straight and one piece aluminium shaft. And soon an mm3 I bet it'll be putting down around 500 horse any guesses from anyone. 🤠

Awesome video, its really cool to see some interesting new diesel content from someone knowledgeable.

that is fricking impressive from a bone stock engine I personally for diesels don't really care how much horsepower it makes its all about the torque and it made 500 or so without the tune but with the final tune it made 800+ that's just insane

I didn't realize u made a channel. I been watching all these 3rd gen vids. I got a 3rd gen myself and Monday I'll have a sxe369 from smeding to drop in and I just put exotic head studs in to.

What’s your thoughts on the block out fuel relief adapter? How do you test the relief valve/fitting?

Great video! Was there a particular reason you went with them for the tuning? Was it a sponsor sort of thing? Looking forward to the trouble shooting to see what the high return rate is, or if it is multiple things at 300k miles. My 05 with 300k doesn't have the long crank like that, makes me wonder if the injectors have been replaced on mine. Definitely makes me want to take mine to a dyno now to see what she makes. Keep up the great content. Meyer on the hp guesses..... spot on!

Single event sounds good dude! Does it hurt fuel mileage or increase egts at all running a single event in a 3rd Gen??

Increases mileage about 10%

It can if you don't beat on it especially in the peak torque rpm, but in all honesty it will shorten the life of the transmission.

I am a 12 valve guy at heart but i kinda want a common rail it just kinda makes me nervous cus ive heard they tend to have injector troubles and a whole set of 12valve injectors cost the same as 1 common rail injector

It is a little more expensive, but the driveability at higher HP is worth it!

I know your tunes were from Virginia, where are y'all located? I'd like to have my tune (EFI LIVE) checked against what the engine is actually doing. I get quite a bit of smoke. I tow, tow, tow my RV. Not a racer. Positive for level 3 built transmission and BD towing twins and 3 way input branched before the intake horn. Thanks

How does it effect the transmission? I think mine had a pump upgrade, but not sure 🤔

No that ended in 2002 when Cummins introduced the CR in 2003 to the Ram trucks

Do you have any worries putting it on tune 5 and doing wot runs on stock head bolts with 300k miles??

Not really due to the low rail pressure its not making full steam.

Is it a Ho motor my 05 is at 325 hp 6 speed manual but don’t know if that is rear wheels or crank Iam pretty sure it’s at the crank .

It could generally the common rails fail due to bad injectors causing piston and ring damage.
