It wasn't turned AAM is a Nissan tuner. A manual Golf R is only slightly faster than a DSG GTI. 🤣

oh no its not, DSG Golf R is notably faster, infact any car with a double clutch gearbox would be notably faster than its manual counter part regardless of the brand.

@mqbr22 - Essentially what I eluded too. If you are going to run the R in a manual tranny against 2 competitors with 75 more horsepower at least give it a proper tune and DSG to be fair. Running an Integrated Engineering ECU and TCU tune will make this R into a different animal....

Obviously the R driver has no idea how to launch. Neither did this specific R stood a chance but at least could have kept up for a little of the line

@mqbr22 bro, manual Golf R's don't launch very well at all. They usually bog down unless you dump the clutch over 5K trying to break something. They're usually the guys saying they didn't buy the car to race, but they love the engagement. 🤣

But yours is an automatic transmission so you would have to race with the bmw 340i.

Do a proper stage 2 Golf R against 400and 400+ cars with 6’s at least. I wouldn’t run my r with a 100hp deficit. Wasting gas.

EQT already got their Mk8 R to do a 10 second street pass, tune only. Not a single piece of hardware changed on the car. 100% stock vehicle with tuning only, 10.9x @ 126 on the street. This Golf R owner just made himself look bad.

So the golf R is manual (they make lesser power then auto) and it's stock? What a waste of gas

@@UnlimitedGamerUNG Just curious to see the race, just like the new Integra type s wins out the new Honda type r in a straight line, and it's only a 5 horsepower difference, So I imagine the new Nismo z with the revised automatic and revised clutch packs and a decent bump in torque, should be able to at least accelerate slightly faster in a straight as well. I hope for a good race
