I love how there’s so tbsp measurement to the sauce lol. You know it’s authentic Asian cooking
These donuts are great. Jelly filled are my favorite. Nothing beats a jelly filled donut.

Onigiri tip of the day
This tuna and rice recipe is my go-to breakfast! It's not only delicious but also gives me the perfect boost of positive energy to start my day. Highly recommend it!
Easy and delicious, thanks for the new weeknight dinner/school lunch!
Just made this. Nice x
I am Japanese. We don't put butter on onigiri. Onigiri tastes good without oil.

I’m craving tuna onigiri so bad now
Yaaay yummy😋🤤
I prefer adding miso when grilling onigiri. Never tried butter, I might have to test it.
i made these today and they were so tasty! my family liked eating them for breakfast the link to the full recipe was in the bio, so i based the ingredients off that

I have all of those ingredients!! I even have portions of cooked rice frozen for when I don't want to have too much rice on hand!!
Hi! What brand of tuna are you using?
Okeeee, look at you! ❤
What rice do you use?
What type of rice are you using 🍙
Done dikit po fullpack
What brand of Korean chili paste is recommended?
Guys the original creator is TiffyCooks
can you use whole tuna for this? do you boil first then? i find that if i use whole tuna it’s drier than the canned version
do you use sushi rice or just typical rice?
bro my sis has been living under a rock she came to me and said “why is she gonna eat green paper(seaweed)
OMG❤❤❤
Is this the same as Tiffycooks?
Je testerai de les passer à la poêle, ça doit être pas mal du tout, merci
regular mayo is FINE
If you don’t have Korean chilli paste, I would recommend sriracha unless you don’t have it
What kind of rice ?
what Japanese mayo was used? in the recipe it says the link no longer available

Can I use regular rice, regular Costco mayo and any canned tuna to make this?

Must be sushi rice so it’s the right texture and won’t fall apart when you form the ball & should be japanese mayo due to differences in consistency (American is much more liquified) & any canned tuna (brand & size) should work just fine as long as it does come flavored already.
Does anyonw know how to prevent it from falling apart?
Hi! Can someone tell me how to make the rice sticky? I only know how to cook rice that doesn't stick 🥲
everytime i try n toast my onigiri they fall apart anyone have any tips?
Will the fried version with nori sheets still be good if I plan to keep it in the freezer or fridge as ready to eat meals?
@FantazomiXroma

Nori is always best fresh. I advise that you fold nori around the onigiri once you’ve thawed it out. Dry and crisp is what you’re going for.

Actually I think for traditional onigiri u use normal japanese rice. Not really sticky rice Since the japanese rice is sticky itself. Just go for normal rice

Please like my comment - I'd like to go back on this video, I'm going to make it! I'll have to save first for the ingredients. Thank you!
let us step back and say this is reality 1) rice ball is left over from real dinner last night 2) it's made at a time with left over without refrigeration so no mayo and it's made quick with no waste. it is the garbage ben of last night dinner cover in rice
🍙
I'm never doing this ever again
I tried making them but they keep falling apart, how do I stop them from doing that?

Use warm rice not cooled down rice. The moist from it will help your onigiri stick more.

Maybe you used the wrong rice, long grain rice like jasmine etc won't stick together properly, you need short grain rice / japanese rice / sticky rice. But tbh that only affects shape. If you were to make this for yourself you could just stop caring about the looks and eat it anyway without it having to be perfect pretty triangles
I tried to find Furikake to cook with and I found out that there are many different kind of flavors of it. Which one does she use here? The one I got had benito flakes in it and I hated it cause it tasted like the zoo…
@zankaa8031
Жыл бұрын
Most furikake has bonito tbh, the most common ingredients are nori, bonito, and sesame seeds. Hard to tell what flavor she used here but my personal favorite is the wasabi fumi furikake.

U can ask the lady at the Oriental store, but I'm guessing nori fumi furikake is wat yur lookin' fer. There's salmon furikake too, but sum fish furikake tastes old 😂 That's probs why u didn't like the bonito flavor. My personal fav is🥚furikake cause it's sweet. I can mix it in 🍚 and mold without fillings ☺️ It ain't cheap no more tho 😩

Your tears, provides wetness and saltiness. Just kidding, kinda....Mayo is staple for Japanese rice balls but you can try cream cheese, sour cream, greek yogurt. If you wanna go out of the box, pesto or avocado mashed. It's really whatever you wanna throw in there, it will still taste good. There is a popular Japanese bakery around me that sells theirs with added chopped onions, small diced tomato, and jalapeno. It is so good.

Kewpie mayo just tastes like regular mayo with lemon and mayyybe a bit sweeter. But it’s very similar and doesn’t make much of a difference compared to regular mayo. So yeah that would work fine.

@@tentacurl8583Kewpie mayo is way more subtle to me. I only eat it now because I can't stand regular mayo anymore 🤣. It's hard to explain but western mayo has this sort of tang that Kewpie doesn't.
