This movie took 13 years to make, they all shot it on the live locations and all the scenes of rain are real..... They literally had to wait for the rain to fall.... That's why it's such a masterpiece

No, the movie was started to shoot in 2012, then they reweite and reshoot in 2015,...and after final touchups they released it in 2018....so the movie takes 6 years to make...still a long time though😅😊

I was terrified of it's trailer such that completely avoided. the comments at the middle of the movie brings a lot of breather while watching now and so am I watching along. Yeah, the artistry behind this kind off feels enigmatic and walk -in - creepy, feel. I hope this suits best for an 4d trend.

Also fun fact, H.P. Lovecraft was inspired by Robert Chamber’s “The King Yellow” and made it a cosmic god in his personal fictional mythos and named him “Hastur.” U instead of an A and don’t know if he also took some inspiration from Hindu mythology, but like to think so since they both deal in Gold. The king in yellow’s robs are gold. And Hastur CAN be considered a cosmic like demon god similar to Hastar. Just something I noticed.

So maybe it's the other way around, they too inspiration from Lovecraft and mixed in some Hindu mythology. More like I get folklore more than anything? Don't know, but none the less love mythologies in general. And how they all influence each other.

Fun fact- the elder brother from the two boys, played the old woman's character.

Yea...Carolina is lovely but sorry she doesn't react much which is the main thing of reaction channels...Steph would have enjoyed it better.

Just for the context, if you read this by any chance. Tumbadd is famous for the curse of rain and its said that the gods are upset over the people of Tumbadd thats why it rains immensely over there. It is a real place in the state of Maharashtra, India around 350 kms from the city of Mumbai. Also the old lady whom the kids were trying to feed is wife of the old man living in the mansion where the mother of the kids work as a maid. Now why the kids and their mother has to take care of the old man's wife. Because of the curse of Hastar that engraved her, and that is why the old man pays the mother to take care or him and his cursed wife whose kinda crippled and weird.

Honestly I didn't sleep the whole damn night after I watched this movie and also I watched this before dinner it was even hard eating

Finally the reaction most of us were waiting for 😏 One of a kind Horror movie, production was a struggle as the movie was in the making for over 10 years. As you can see most of the shot and scenes are been filmed in the constant Rain and you will hardly notice any sunlight. If possible try watching the BTS for the movie. 😊

I wish Andrew was paired with Steph or Michael Christine for this one !! Would definitely be beteer :/

In this film they had very small budget like not even for cgi so they have to shot in monsoon season to get the rain shots if the monsoon season is gone then they had to shot in next year's monsoon

My theory is: the grandma was not a bad person. She was compelled to go into the well to get the gold and once she was cursed, she did not reveal the secrets of the treasure despite decades/century of torture and suffering. Only when she was left alone for 15 years with no food did she break down and did something for herself i.e. exchange death for the secret. Such a complicated character.
