Really enjoyed your presentation. I personally fish Eucha for bluegill but in doing so have caught some nice bass as well. Absolutely beautiful place and it's a crying shame I live 3 hours from there. Appreciate the map link.

The fishing has been super tough for me personally at Eucha since the beginning of this month. I live 10 minutes from the lake and I fish it a lot. Pressure seems to be getting worse and 12 pounds has been the best bag this month in the Tuesday night derby, the lower end of the lake is about the only place to catch them or super deep in the mid section of the lake. I haven’t fished spavianw yet but plan on it soon maybe it’ll produce better

Yeah Eucha has been tough the last couple years. Although, I went for the first time in over a year couple weeks ago and had 20-22 lbs offshore. Guessing they had just moved out and that bite will continue to fade. Good luck on spavinaw, I haven’t been there in quite some time

Thanks! Glad to help. You can get them here webapp.navionics.com/ and navionics and humminbird both have apps you can download. If one doesn’t have the lake covered you fish, the other one might. Good luck!

I’m looking for a place that’s good for bank fishing. When I say “good” I mean access but not a lot of ppl or docks. A wildish area. Where would you suggest I look

You will probably need to stick to the bigger lakes to do that. The smaller lakes don’t have much unless you are going to hike through tall grass and trees. Skiatook is probably the best for being able to find boat ramp areas and start walking around the lake from there. Tenkiller also has lots of boat ramps where you can park and start trekking down the bank. Obviously grand has too many docks to do that. Gibson has a little bit. My advice would be locate some boat ramps on lakes you want to fish, get on google maps and see how far you can walk the banks around to get away from people.

Another great guide! I've never actually fished Eucha (or Spavinaw) myself, but always heard good things about them both. I always wondered if it was worth the drive (1.25 - 1.5 hours) for me. If I make a drive like that I like to be sure it's worth it (like Tenkiller or Grand).

Thanks Todd! They are both good lakes (with big fish and a lot less pressure). Spavinaw is a lot different and much smaller. Let me know if you go to Eucha. I will give you some more detail on areas to try in the kayak.

Good chance some will still be on beds and several in the creeks. Not sure where you are launching but I would recommend launching by the dam or eucha point (if you can). Stick to the creek arms on the south side (flatter side) it will give you more options. Frog around shallow flats can be good. Don’t get too stuck on the water willow, it looks good but if you fish it look for the smaller isolated patches. Also look for any sort of rock or lay down in the water willow, it typically is holding one. Eucha is a bitter sweet place. It can reward you big time and also beat you down. Feel free to shoot me an email as the time gets closer and I will help you get more dialed.
