Loved it, loved it, loved it - take no opinions from those with a KZread channel showing zero content.
My favorite part was the interview with Omar who had so much trouble but took everything in stride and said “everything is going good.” Now that is someone I would love to ride with!
Great movie, thanks Ryan! Just watched the full film. I really admire the stories of ultra-endurance riders, talking about why they push beyond their limits and dig deep over and over again. So often told with a big smile, at peace with the journey and with themselves. And how pedaling the bike is just one part of a much larger adventure!
Bravo Ryan! Well done. The best race doc I've seen. I totally got the edit and the pacing. As far as the mix goes, I thought you used all the elements of the sound (background noise) nicely as the style of the film. Capturing that stuff in those conditions are tough (in the real world I'm a freelance location sound mixer) I've worked it Africa many times in the last 20 yrs and seeing the images make me long to go back for a visit. Also loved the LUT you use- the color captures the feel of whats happening......, But that's just my opinion

Amazing!
A fun watch about such a unique race. Thank you for sharing. Such a neat experiment documented. Some feedback: The transitions in the first half with the barrage of photos was a little jarring. Otherwise, the rest of the film was really enjoyable.
Such an awesome film 🎥 your content is always on point Ryan. Merci pour tout!!

Cut the background noise it's terrible. Too many slow shots too. GET ON WITH IT

@@Ryanlegarrec noted. Well for me there is a bit too much cinematography indulgence and it gets in the way of the actual content. It's trying to be too serious and artistic when I want to actually learn about the riders and place and race. That's just me though, others seem to like it so oh well kudos

Stove Piper well for me, your argument or feedback could make a lot more sense if it was said in a way that doesn’t make me regret you actually didn’t pay to watch this film and yet feel you can slash it harshly and yell at me. Just my two cents but play nice while we work hard.

Here’s my take. If this was a race with more history, I wouldn’t mind documentation more focused on the racers and the competition. As it’s a new race, this film nicely introduces cyclists to the country. At the end of the day, bikepacking (whether racing or touring) is about exploration. Sure this film doesn’t tell me much about the riders, but it makes me really wanna go ride here

@@Ryanlegarrec he isn't...its just you feeling touchy about your baby..I found the film too bitty and at times flitting around to make it 'edgy'..overall I enjoyed it but its a bike ride doc not a thought provoking film about a deep issue..oh...I paid for it via Amazon too, so it wasn't free
