I first watched a video from 8 years ago , then was prompted to this video , you had previously been using the the pump up sprayer and baby shampoo which I’m sure would be your suggestion for me to start . I see you using a hose now and heard you mention you were spraying with water is there no soap involved now days? Is there a tradition video from the old ways of solutions and trimming to plotter and the hose method etc. Thank you very much

Noticed the front door panel is saturated w/soapy water therefore it has to be saturated behind the door panel as well.... Great video, you make window tinting look easy.

    The lack of protection from moisture as you pray down the windows and film is concerning. Water will dry out plastics and collect in creases. I'm not sure what solution you are using, but that can leave a film, even if you wipe it down after. The worst part is the water going into all the controls on the door, such as the power switches. You should take the time to cover these areas as best possible and take better care of your customers' vehicles. This job is harder than it looks, but at the rate you get through those windows, it looks like you can do a car in under an hour. I hope you charge accordingly and don't rush through Installs and charge customers for several hours if work that doesn't happen. Very informative video, thanks.

    I sometimes have problems with fingers coming up after I've tucked the lower edge. Is this due to incomplete shrinking? Sometimes I can stretch the bottom out left and right and get them to go away. Also, to pull back the seals and lock down the bottom I alternate between the Platinum ez reach and the yellow conquerer (which you recommended in older vids), is that fine or should I get that shank tool you're using too?

  • @DetroitTintStudio

    @DetroitTintStudio

    5 жыл бұрын

    The shank really just helps with tucking, I use to use a ez reach but the shank is a little better because it has an angle that stays out of the way. The fingers are most likely because of what u said. I shrink a little different now than I use to. I use a "snap" method. It's in a few of my more recent videos and on Instagram. I just curl the bottom edge and it's helped a lot with keeping everything flat
