Great stuff. Keep up the good work. I love it that you are telling us exactly what you are using at every moment. So many great channels forget to tell us.

I am so glad we went back to using primer gray instead of trying to pre-paint the wings. Great video "Ace"

Very good images, very detailed. How do you prepare the glue? The second glue is a foam glue? Do you put water in it to slow down the expansion process of the foam? I look forward to part 25.

The first lower glue is a mix of epoxy resin with 20% cotton flock then thickened to the consistency that I want with micro spheres. The foam glue is gorilla glue that expands 3x when misted with water after application.

@@britcharming Your explanation is very clear, he also made my models with Fusion 360, but my molds are not as detailed as yours. I expect more .😀

Only what you see. Each wing design is different so a different approach.

Interesting stuff. I notice you left the masking tape holding the frames on when you closed the moulds. Is that normal or just because this is a prototype wing?

Did you design all the internal structure yourself ? Interested to find out what material is needed at what part of the wing, i dont see any ribs apart from the root Rib ? Great work.

Yes, I design every part with Fusion 360. I use 3mm plywood for the internal structures and 3 mm foam for the wing skins.

When you produce the mould, does the size take into account the skin and hence the size of frames etc? How do you plan that?

In this case I designed the wings in F360 to the size I needed. I then shelled out the wing leaving a wing skin thickness of the foam core and outer cloth thickness. I then designed the inner ribs and did a combine with a cut for each which left me with the rib size that matched the internal finished skin. Hope that helps. I may do a video on this technique if a few people ask for it. Thx for the comment it was a good one

thanks for the reply, what measurement would you allow for your skins

In this case the skin is 1/8" foam core plus 1.5 mm for the cloth & resin thickness
