working a rolling mill in the aerospace and titanium industry, I thank you for the domestic only materials. Anyone who breaks away and buys over seas ends up coming back. You get what you pay for

Im based in the uk and we only really buy British, German or American. Outside of that its not really worth our time, you muricans can trust our stock 👍

Pedigree included same as in aviation or aerospace maintenance and manufacturing. Even the raw materials must have a pedigree and paper trail that can be traced. The FAA was able to track down the forging used in the turbine disk that exploded on a DC-10. Race cars are no different. When someone is putting his/her life on the line, Chineseium won’t cut it esp not in my Shop
Glad to see someone giving some insight and details on what it takes to build a proper car. A lot of people like to keep secrets in this sport.
Fantastic idea for a series. I’ll be tuning in. Thank you from those of us who are getting our feet planted in the industry!
Finally someone who will explain this stuff.
Cool Tim. I’ll watch every minute of this series. Love your technical fab videos. The more the better! Thanks.
This is the kind of series I subbed for.
I just keep watching these over and over. Thanks for the series.
Tim really love your videos. Thank you for not having a bunch of unnecessary music playing while your speaking. Not have shity music playing helps you focus on the valuable information your are giving. Great job sir 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
this will be a great series. can't wait to see more.
I'm glad I found your channel a few months ago. Great information. Great job on the vids. You have a first class operation.
Just starting on your series and really enjoyed your str8 talk and information. Now to part 2
Looking forward to seeing the new series

Really love these videos thanks learning alot
Keep em coming !!
Thank you Tim!
Just added the playlist. Thank you
Looking forward to this
Some imported steels might not even have the carbon and silicon content close to SAE spec let alone chromium and molybdenum. Sometimes impurities can make welding difficult.
Really enjoy how much information you give in some and or all your videos. Keep building cool shit. 👍🏼
I only deal with USA manufacturers earned you a thumbs up!
Good Video series!
4130 Chinesium tubing Chinesium - An element not found on the periodic table. A crappy metal, plastic, or chemical substance made in China in the manufacture of many Chinese exports. Exposure is imminent in one’s lifetime and may strike with or without warning. Chinesium can display a variety of unique properties and is found in abundance. With exposure side effects vary greatly depending on the user. If you experience any of the following symptoms, you may be at risk and should seek a dumpster or a certified R2 recycling facility immediately. Side effects include: Annoyance, fear, loss of sleep, burning sensation, loss of revenue, reduced net worth, poor conductivity or connectivity, high resistance, ridicule by peers, loss of limb, or death. Always use personal safety equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, and respiratory protection when handling Chinesium. If you have direct contact with Chinesium, STOP, DROP, AND ROLL. Should you find Chinesium and are unsure of what to do: STOP, DON’T TOUCH, CALL AN ADULT.
I am glad to see you do have aluminum in a aluminum c channel

maybe there is video about which NHRA specs for each class levels... Help people decide which class they could or honestly could afford to build and be competitive. Maybe basic build requirements? Like the fab series
Great information! Thanks!
thank you for your information
So what about mild steel, welded seam, DOM. Might want to touch on that for the neubs.
What's the difference from steel piping? Perhaps the control on tolerances and metals?
More details on the sonic checking like what is the standard?
Tim has spent more money on tubing then I've spend on my whole car...
What about Docol Tube R8 4130 tubing?
"some decent qualities that come from Germany and generally from Europe" what you mean decent? you ever heard of Tysenn Krupp Stahl? german and austrian steel is top steel in the world. we used some american steel and we had to replace it with russian steel because it was really bad. not even close to EU standards. after that we only use Tysenn Krupp
If I was building a cheap copy of a 80s trans am race car/ road car. What tube thickness would I use for the frame to make it last forever with just street driving?
Making and keeping America Great. Made in the USA 🇺🇸
I would love to see a roll cage (safety cage) made from Chromoly and a cage from titanium in a strength test And any other tests that the race and associations allow for safety
Hello, I know that’s these fab series are dedicated to drag racing pro stock or pro mods but I was wondering if this shop does any work on Road Racing AWD tube Chassis Cars. I want a chassi built for a Time Attack SCCA/WTA series’s Car such as a WRX STI, EVO or Celica GT4. Please help thank you and btw great videos and products 😊
I would like to order online some Chromoly tubing for a homade roll bar truck project what wall thickness, and tubing measurements would you recommend?
instant subscribe and like on the videos
Can I get a hell yeah brother!!! 👽👽👽🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
THANK YOU TGANK YOU THANK YOU🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🏁🏁🏁🏁
Do ? or have you used Drocol tube? whats your opinion?
Anyone know of a great fabricator in California? Have a 69 corvette convertible that was in an accident and has a noticeable bend and cracks in the chassis. Need something lighter and stronger but that will allow me to mount the same body, radiator, gas tank, etc without any modifications.
How much money do you think is setting there MR Tim
Made in the USA !
975th 👍's up tim thanks for taking the time for us all
How much is one of those tubes worth? Are they expensive?
Do you sale DOM tubing or is it mainly Moly and Titanium?
Just curious, but would you be okay with buying Canadian Steel?

Just don't buy cheap junk.
docol r8
As you said oversea crap i first thought you wanted to make our German steel look bad, but the moment you said we make decent steel and buying local is good it was all good. Yea guys buy local, just think about the pollution through transportation and about the income of the worker next door.
Why do you not sell aluminum like you do 4130
1020 steel is a good option to save money?

@@Timmcamis thanks for replying, in my case the intention is to do something to drive on roads, it would not be impact driving like an off road
does anybody build with mild steel anymore?
Great Tim buys domestic. My brother, tool/die maker 40 yrs, says the same thing. USA is best but expensive. German steel not far behind. Russian, Indian or wherever is crap.
If i had that rack that full i would not be on you tube i can gaurentee it
hi what kind of steel are the tubes?
"Only accept domestic tubing" - if only others were like minded and not on a race to the bottom. Top man.

Tom McAnus???!?? Yup that's what I heard
Swedish steel = best steel
Its hard to listen to the video when there is a stock pile of materials that is so amazing in the background, that has to be over 10,000 dollars in materials.
@InchFab
2 жыл бұрын
It's way more than that.
The true reason for random length is that when its drawn over the mandrel it can walk around on the operator so the good part of the tube gets cut out of runs
country of origin is not the issue, quality of material is. china produces whichever quality you want, it all depends on the reseller and price. plenty of material made domestically is also junk. this myth that everything coming from china is rubbish needs to be addressed. the basic reality is that if people continue to mass consume crap at an alarming rate, china will continue to mass produce crap at an alarming rate. the responsibility lies with you, the consumer, and with the disgustingly relentless marketing that drives the impossibility of endless market growth. responsibility does not lie with the manufacturer. it's a very simple equation: if you want china (and any other country, including the US) to stop producing crap, stop buying it.

As a chinese supplier, I totally agree with you. If our customer only accept the price for a stone, how can we produce a diamond? As a matter of fact, China also produces things with high quality, but people just don't get any access to it.
"Chinese Shiiiit."
Americans and inches, damn you.
Great video ... still cant get over how Americans say tubing and aluminium lol
