Confirm smallest diameter tube allowed that minimizes sensitive esophagus and larynx damage, which causes regurgitation blockage into lungs and death. Tube apparently needs to be inserted all the way down near last rib where stomach valve is located, so according to online Veterinary video, measure tube length from mouth to last rib. After inserting tube beyond esophagus, confirm animal is breathing through nose or mouth, and not through the tube, which means tube is incorrectly in larynx lung and will cause airway drowning death. According to current Vet info, do not force tube into stomach valve. Research is required to determine if stomach valve tube access causes acids to unsafely regurgitate. Confirm how much food and water per animal size per timeframe that is safely allowed. After feeding, lay pet flat to prevent regurgitated food and liquid from entering larynx and lungs, and observe for more than 30 minutes or more to ensure no regurgitation into lungs. Make sure food and outdoor temp is not too cold because the pet’s system will constrict and regurgitate the water and food. My 19 pound Maltipoodle dog, Vixen, sadly regurgitated water about 23 minutes after tube feeding, probably because cold weather and water-food due to living without a home, and she was sleeping with her head and neck slightly elevated about 4” on the front vehicle floor-board, where regurgitation drowned her ability to breathe, which was a major tragedy that allowed Tapeworm infestation to harm her neurological ability to swallow and keep water out of her airway. The tragedy to my beautiful, loved pet, requires redemption in honor of her innocent life with required Tapeworm elimination ordinance law, similar to Rabies vaccination, to eliminate all Tapeworm heads, segments, eggs, and larvae on a regular timespan that does not harm the pet, and required Veterinarian education to owner’s on how to safely eliminate all parasites, anti-inflammation medication education, how to tube feed pets, and special liquid foods and feeding tubes with detailed safety instructions and online education videos for sale at Vet clinics and Stores that sale pet foods.

Where can I order one of the collars to secure the feeding tube? I am currently tube feeding my cat and that collar would be great to have.

Hi Heather, the veterinarian that put in the feeding tube should have the wraps to secure it. These are usually veterinary exclusive and are not available outside of a hospital. Thank you for your question!

Can we use human tube feeding ? I am in remote area. It is difficult to find for animal. Please suggest and what size i can use for a week old puppy

We cannot recommend placing a feeding tube on your own or calculating proper nutrients. We suggest you call your primary vet to have a conversation.

Hi there! Usually your pet's veterinarian will supply you with an e-tube, or recommend where to buy one.

Please tie your hair up, cut your nails short and do not use nail polish!!!! Remove unecessary rings. Biossecurity is important to prevent nosocomial infections, antibiotic resistance and zoonosis!!!!!!!!!! Hands are the main carriers of infection!
