Been my favorite for ten years. Believe it or not I began listening to and loving Dixieland in 1946 when I was eight!

This is the first and last time I've seen and heard the blond girl with the trumpet -- and she is exceptional.

I know this is a few years late but what an outstanding Troupe of professionals. Thank you all, you make me happy.

Jazz is way of life, you can do/play any tone you like but still keep in harmony

I love you Tuba Skinny, I'm going to buy all of your CDs!

Good group, great music and at our house we go back daily to see them in action

My favorite New Orleans jazz band.

Inspiring, especially for a 70 year old man, who started loving new orleans music when he was ten ,and missed it for a long time.

So now you 72 and I'm 80 and I been lovin it since I was 10 too. So? We like good music and not the current claptrap and cacophony. So? We brudders, n'est-ce pas? We'll drink to dat! N'est -ce pas? Wanna shotta George Dickel? Yeah! Me too!

One thing the musicians are enjoying the music and you can feel that

It's not often I would say this but that is bloody marvelous and I am rather critical, I'm an 80 year old clarinet player who has run a band for 35 years and still playing, Tuba Skinny and The Shotgun Jazz band are.....well what can I say.

I was born in the wrong era. I love this music of my grandparents day. It's puts a big smile on my face, and these guys are great. Makes me wish I was playing with them.

It's so refreshing to hear Tuba go full tilt and roll the dice when other musicians show up. No fear, no regrets. Just blast out and play the snot out of it. Well done!

Grew up listening to the Dukes of Dixieland. And the Preservation Hall groups. These guys are FOR REAL!

I've just met Tuba Skinny. Fantastic jazz, that takes me back to the late 50's, early 60's when I was playing in London with a band called the Jimmy Lougher Jazzmen. Great, great, great !! A must for every jazz lover !! Thankyou

I'm piano student, I'm studying piano for 6 years till now, but I like other instruments too. I also started to learn trumpet after see some videos of this band. I like Shaye Cohn and your trumpet very much. She's a very good musician, and she inspires me.

Shaye also plays a mighty fine piano. I've seen a Tuba Skinny vid of her doing just that!! And I'm a keyboard man also.

This band is one of the best in existence bringing me to the 30s and I'm born in the 90s

So many wonderful layers of musicians and their music. I listen to this all the time.

'Tis interesting to watch the musicians get into sync with their feet before they begin. The way that they perceive music is so different than the way most others do. Agree?

One of their best performances, IMO.

I love this band...wish they were coming to the Evergreen Jazz Festival in late July this year. This version of “Shake It and Break It” is as good as any Dixie band on the scene today. If you only knew what all these musicians have had to do to reach this point, it would not have been a trip for the faint of heart...it’s almost impossible to believe that they all are not much older, based on the seasoned sound they achieve...I particularly enjoy them when the tenor sax joins the horn section. Good luck, Tuba Skinny, whenever you play and may you play for another 50 years.

Such good music actually played by great musicians, everyone should be listening and appreciating their skill.

Let me remember you all once again: whether you like the genre or not, there are two or three things you absolutely must adore about the band: They love what they do, they function superbly as a team and... could you resist the wish to dance it?... This is the very top of the New Orleans style and (hint) watch Shaye's right leg to get the jist of the rhythm. ❤❤❤
